  1. Hello Roger, So sorry to hear that you are packing in competing, especially after your performance at Anglesey last season. Viewing from the pit wall, you appeared to have lost none of your speed or finesse. You and I have conducted our sprinting and hill climbing careers together, and I will miss the catch-up at the end of each run. I hope to see you in the paddock at as many events as possible this year (though moving house will disrupt my season a little). And I must get in touch to discuss getting the fuel tank sender swapped! Very best wishes, Paul
  2. I'm moving house soon, so it would be good to move these on sooner rather than later. I would consider reasonable offers. Though larger diameter, they fit 13" cycle wings okay, and fill out the arches nicely. Paul
  3. These are four Caterham 15" wheels (made by KN), in very good condition, fitted with Yokohama AD08 Neova 195/50R15 tyres. The tyres are quite old, each with 2-4mm of tread. There are slight marks on the edge of the rim on some of the wheels, but otherwise they are very straight and clean, having been used for sprinting for a couple of years then a few road miles since. They are in Derby, but I sometimes travel for work, so there might be a chance of delivery. £395 ono
  4. Hi Dom, I too copied the Richard Price twin master cylinder system, and can vouch for the effectiveness and ease of adjustment. As a result, I have a standard (as fitted to the 2003 Superlight) master cylinder sitting in the garage, so if you wanted a simple replacement, it could be available at a reasonable price. Paul
  5. Congratulations to Charlie - a huge talent, the first of many titles, I suspect. And well done to all the class winners. Thanks to Andy, Rob and Andy for putting in the hours and doing the heavy lifting to allow us to go out and have fun all year. Paul

  7. Please add me to the garage list - I'm useful for keeping Tony and Phil apart. Paul
  8. Great pictures! Except...... Isn't there software available to remove people from the background? I'm sure I was getting married the last time I was in this many photos! Paul
  9. Top performance, Dan - simply a masterclass. Paul
  10. Oh dear - Fake News reaches Lowflying. My recollection of who came past the queue to take re-runs was clearly faulty, and now I've diminished Justin's fine achievement on the last run at Anglesey. If I write the Aintree report, I'll try to redress the balance - though that might make things worse! Sorry Justin. Paul
  11. Despite avoiding the photographer, I suppose I should own up to attending the Prescott Sneaky Practice. An enjoyable day with a good bunch of Speed Championship competitors, at a great venue. Friendly and well-organised, with (as you might expect) top-notch facilities. I can testify that Mr. Snoats left his mark there at the school day. Well, five to be precise - four on the tarmac and one on the armco. Paul
  12. Yes please, I would like a place, just in case it as wet as last year. Thanks Justin. Paul C
  13. I've asked to add an extra 2 tomorrow, but without success. They are fully-booked, and say it would affect the standard of service. Sorry. Paul
  14. Total number for the Saturday night meal, taking in to account those who cannot attend, and including Geoff and Elaine Corker and the Tony and Phil Show is 35. I have agreement for 33 with the restaurant, but I will try and increase that tomorrow (not answering tonight). I will keep you posted. Paul
  15. Geoff and Elaine, that's very gracious of you, so Jon and Charlotte, you are in. Tony, the idea that Phil might not have many years left is a bit harsh. We'll help him up the stairs. Paul
  16. Each time I've spoken to the Oyster Catcher crew, they've been keen to stress that they would have difficulty serving more than 32 (or two groups of 16) on a Saturday night, and I agreed that we would limit numbers. Jon and Charlotte, and Phil, you are on the reserve list. If anyone is unable to make the Anglesey weekend (perhaps for fuel availability reasons), please post, and then we can offer the place. That's assuming that the rival Garage Disco doesn't prove too tempting. Paul
  17. Thank you all, we now have 33 for the Oyster Catcher next Saturday, so everyone who has posted will be there (C Wilson and plus one will need to squeeze their elbows in). They have asked if we can have staggered sit-down times, 7.00pm and 7.30, to help them to cope with service, so during Saturday we will arrange who goes first - slowest eaters, slowest 64ft time... whatever. I'm looking forward to it. Paul
  18. Away from the drama of the Anglesey Garage acquisition, and the excitement of the Charlie C Disco (playing garage and probably some grime too - sorry, I can't help it), here is the announcement you have all been waiting for. As in previous years, it seems only right that we should end the season with a get together over a decent meal and a few drinks. The Oyster Catcher restaurant at Rhosneigr will be happy to welcome us on Saturday (2nd October) night, and would now like to know how many of us wish to attend. They think they may struggle to cater for more than 32, so please respond to this post to register your interest, and if necessary, there will be a first-come-first-served cut-off. A full menu will be available, and individuals/couples will pay their own bill. I suggest meeting in the bar from 7.00pm, with a sit-down at 7.30. This has been a great night out in past years, so I expect the same this year. I'm putting my name down for a place, and I hope a few more of you might join me. Paul Collins
  19. I seem to think that the cost is about £50.00 per garage, plus the deposit for the key. I would imagine that all entrants will want a garage space, I certainly do, so I suggest that we reconvene close to the booking date, and organise ourselves to get at least 5 garages booked, assuming that the organisers will let us. I would, of course, need to be in the same garage as Alan Bowler to arrange the traditional banana skin. It wouldn't be the same without. Paul C
  20. I too am now getting properly excited about the upcoming season, and preparations are well in hand - stickers are ordered, T-shirts and caps are getting sorted, and I've had a sneak preview / proof-read of the 2021 Championship book. What strikes me is the fantastic number of new faces joining us this year. I guess there is a case of "if not now, when?" about it. Just a note for those who didn't send photos for inclusion - i would urge you to send something to Graham, as I've seen some of the alternatives that might be used, and 'horrifying' doesn't come close. Paul (alias "compsupport")
  21. I'm looking forward to the PPE check at scrutineering, particularly at Anglesey. It's true, each motorsport discipline has different issues to deal with, but as long as we stay on track, our is quite straight-forward. I'll happily put up with whatever restrictions are imposed - I just want to get on track, soon. Paul
  22. One seat at the table for me please. Paul
  23. Please keep a place for me. Thank you. Paul
