  4. Stijn do not worry I will be around with a Seven until I cannot get out of one but after three years with the Fireblade it is time for a change. Big Nuts is just for non Seven days and autumn and winter days when a roof and heater are needed. Nick always pleased to help - Keith after all my comments about Metro engines how could I even think about it !!

  7. Pressure is very low 1.5 psi to 2 psi .
  8. All comes down to price ! Now what about these slicks that are in the way
  9. Two 13"x7" silver Minilites in good condition Ford PCD with BRAND NEW 205 32Rs £140 the pair Three Avon 6x20x13 part worn slicks £15 each
  10. Does anybody have an Ignition control module for a 919cc Fireblade that I could borrow to see if mine is fbr as I have checked everything else. Problem is no impulse on low tension to the coils so no spark - it all worked before I took the engine out. Or do you know a good Honda motor cycle mechanic in the Guildford area.
  11. Need to buy one - share your views
  12. It is a well known law of Blatchat Techtalk that live axels and with sticky (?) tyres do not mix
  13. It can be done by having Speedy Cables modifying the Caterham speedo and I would also recommend changing to a sensor from Farnell part # 530-293 on the front wheel using the Caterham bracket part # 73450 . Much more accurate and not so difficult to set up as the propshaft ones.
  14. Need to find a replacement for the trusty Minnow as the wimp's car will not fit . Must have a 14ft x 6ft bed - a Brian James Tilt would be nice.. Any ideas where I might find one ?
  15. Peter It isn't good news I have two 3" outer rims - sorry but there must be a member of the Max power lot that just must get more rubber down that could use them. Cheers Paul ps live in the self employed camp ain't too bad - well at least the holidays don't have to be negotiated !!
  16. Peter The standard RS 500 wheels are front 6.5" - 1.5" outer rim and 5" inner; rear 8.5" -2.5" outer and 6" Inner. I have found that 6.5" all round suits and the bearing in the A bracket has stood up to it for three years on slicks but I better check it this winter !! But then I drive alot slower than you ! I do have a couple of rims spare if you like I will check the size.
  17. But it is a Fireblade !! Who needs them ? If you really must then Alcon 2 pots with standard disks and Green Stuff pads are fine.
  18. You have the right sized wheels. The Barnby wheels are a very tight fit and use a sleeved nut and washer. They can be a pain to centre to start with. If you are running ACB10 you need 0 toe in on the front. See you at Eau Rouge
  19. Caterham 6inch diameter silencer 2 1/4" inlet £50
  20. As an alternative try a quote from Phil Levitt at Good Fabrications 01844 202850 near Aylesbury. Its only stainless steel not Titanium I know but a lot cheaper. Also I think that length is more important than width to reduce noise levels
  21. FWIW I run a cheapo electic pump from the local factors with the pressure reduced to 1 to 1.5 lbs on my Fireblade with carbs with no problems
  22. Please can you tell me what is so special about the R1 engine. As a matter of record my Ital axel with slicks has done 4000 track miles running a Fireblade engine - perhaps I drive too slowly
  23. I have one of these if you are interested . DL90 is Race Technology's entry level GPS "black box" data logging system. Put in the simplest terms, it stores a range of vehicle data for later analysis on a computer - the system does not include an in-vehicle display. Can be used at most track days to log data which is viewed "after the event". Cutting edge features of the DL90 include: High accuracy GPS, digital accelerometers, 90 minutes logging time, 2 analogue inputs, 1 digital input, RPM input, wheel speed input. For further details see: http://www.race-technology.com/WebPage2/Products/DL90/DL90Introduction.html
