I am thinking about fitting a roadsport cage. Is anyone thinking of selling theirs at the moment? Perhaps one of this year's academy? Thanks, Oli

  4. As per the title, I'm after a couple of these second hand as I can't afford a new set of CXRs all round. Good conditon preferred, obviously, but don't mind a few paint chips as I need to refurb one of mine anyway. Thanks, Oli
  5. Hi Simon, Excellent, I'll wait to hear from you. Oli
  6. For sale: My YC Plastics half doors from the bulk buy earlier in the year. Shiny black plastic, still covered with plastic film. here They need a bit of fettling to fit, and I'm a tad busy to do any. I paid £63.75 + £10 so happy to sell for 50 inc postage. There is a small cut in one corner where I tested to see how it cut with a hacksaw but this is on a part that would be cut away anyway, so no issue there. Oli

A brilliant weekend, thank guys. What a lovely place and a nice long course too. I was glad for my ez-up purchased on Friday. That was quite a shower at the end!

    Half Hoods

I use both half and full hoods depending on how heavy the rain is. Full hood has its place IMO.
  11. Well that's a kick in the teeth Richard, sorry to hear it. I'd be putting a letter of claim in the post as that's pretty negligent to say the least and loss occurred as a result. Hope all is well otherwise. Oli

    Sigma spark plugs

Thanks Peter. Would plugs like these be better? I hear people talking of fancy platinum plugs etc and wonder if they are more effective, reliable etc? here
  13. Hi folks, What are the most recommended spark plugs for a 150 sigma engine please? Thanks, Oli

    Harewood entries

Quoting David Lynch: If anyone has a couple of spare tickets for Saturday, gratefully accepted with promise of any trowel seeking photo's being supressed Are we supposed to have received entry related post from the organiser? I don't think I have any yet.
  16. I have some instructions somewhere but basically you attach the loom to the rear right light cable by reaching up from below to the inside of the right rear, seperate and attach and then feed the wire up through the fuel filler pipe gap. It's really easy. I'll see if I can find the instruction file on my computer at home unless someone else comes along beforehand.
  17. John, I have lowered wing stays too and can fit Yokohama 21s (185/60/13) that have a diameter of 558mm. You ought to be ok, I would have thought. Oli
  18. I agree with much of what you say Stuart, but we're not talking about over-legislating, we're talking about a potentially straightforward modification to a course to reduce the risk of a potentially serious injury. We're not asking for a change to the hill itself to make it easier to navigate without going off, but to introduce a more effective safety net. This would not remove the risk or decrease the adrenaline for me, but would give me more confidence that if I did go off, then I might be more likely to have a broken car and not a broken body. God knows what the consequences may have been for some of those classic cars if they went over the edge.
  19. So as of now I will be at least 3rd in class and 2nd novice. Excellent!
  20. Richard, I'm sorry to hear that you're still feeling the effects. Wishing you a speedy recovery back to fitness.
  21. That course of action would be a no-brainer in my view. What is stopping them putting armco in? Tradition? Edited for bad spalling and , grammar; Edited by - OliW on 4 Jul 2012 13:00:48
