  1. Hi all, Wanted: four 6x13 Anthacites or black Minilites (De Dion) If anyone has a spare set hanging about not doing anything, I'd be grateful for your consideration of letting them go, preferably sans tyres. Thanks! Oli Edited by - oliW on 17 Aug 2011 14:13:32 Edited by - OliW on 7 Sep 2011 23:38:06
  2. I use the following: CTEK Multi MXS3600 Battery Charger £44.99 My car had been sat in the garage and wouldn't start when I tried it yesterday. Ten mins with this on it and hey presto, fired in no time. A quick thrash and the battery was fully charged again. I'd certainly recommend it.

    M17 KTS

Spotted today on the way home from work, following me from Oxford way to Banbury.
  4. Ah, good shout. Thanks for that thought SM25T. Thanks Domus as well. Oli
  5. Can someone please guide me to the correct throttle cable for a 150 sigma? I have looked in the CC store and have been unable to ID the correct part clearly. I just want a spare to carry about in case of a failure. Alternatively, a cheaper location to purchase the same item would be nice! Thanks in advance! Oli

    R300 for sale

Good luck with the sale Gavin. Looks good as I think I said before. Oli
  7. Bump...not looking for much, just some room in my garage!
  8. Who was this then? Silver C7 plate with white lights on the rear at about half one-ish. Kirklevington near Yarm. I was on my bike heading to a race nearby.
  9. What great cars. I'd snap someone's hand off for one of those if I had space for one. Good luck with the sale. Some jammy sod will get it.
  10. I like the way the 7 grille is the wrong way round. Quirky.
  11. One black, metric, non-FIA roll bar now going spare. One small chip in the paint that was unnoticed when on the car. Offers welcome. Collection from Banbury preferred. Oli
  12. Incidentally, following John's advice I went to Caged directly and got a quote of £215 plus VAT for an FIA bar, which was cheaper than CC. I need one pretty swiftly though and unfortunately it took a few days to get in touch with them (no criticism of them at all) and they said the lead time was just over a week. If I had more time and could have been more patient, I'd have snapped their proverbial hand off. Oli
  13. Richy, I just had the very same question answered by Darren at the Caterham parts division. The second option is the kit, so includes the bar and the fixings, whereas the top one is the bar only, without bolts etc. The latter is cheaper as they encourage buyers to buy new fixings when they get the FIA bar. Hope that helps. Oli
  14. Well, your powers of deduction have ruled out the battery being a problem, so it sounds like the unit may be deed. Have you checked the connection between the jaws and the unit for any play? That's the only thing I can think of.
  15. Yes, I've just changed the bolts attaching the throttle bodies on my Sigma 150. Nothing under stress there as far as I can tell. Thanks for the info. I wasnt aware of that.
  16. No link to Westfield Cars by the way!
  17. Hi all, I have discovered a good source for stainless nuts, bolts etc at low prices. You may be familiar but if not then I recommend the following. I have no link to them at all, but was just impressed by the price and next day service. Easy ordering system too. I've just replaced a load of rusty engine bolts with high grade stainless ones for next to nothing. www.westfieldfasteners.co.uk Cheers, Oli
  18. Hi Mabbs, Do you fancy splitting the cost and sending me photocopies of the articles if you can get hold of those issues? I am also a newbie and could do with getting hold of them too. Oli

    FIA Roll Bar

Brilliant, thanks for that mate. Really useful info! I've had a look at your site as well. I have got the non-X standard bar at the moment, so I'll definitely change it in due course. Caterham appear to be out of the FIA boot cover though, so not just yet. Cheers, Oli

    FIA Roll Bar

I'm only 5'10" and with lowered floors I think I'd be ok with the standard height bar. Thanks. Is there anything else I ought to consider with regard to fitting? I understand that you have to undo the rear suspesion for an extra fitting point. I assume this is fairly easy for a reasonably mechanically minded person, although assumption is the mother of all...

    FIA Roll Bar

Great, thanks for that, 7h. I'm sure it's Metric but I'll check anyway just to be safe.

    FIA Roll Bar

Hi folks, I'm a relatively new 7 owner and am new to the club and forum too. I'm enjoying both the blatting and the chit chat on here very much, so I know I've made the right decision after years of wanting a 7. I was just wondering about FIA roll bars for my Superlight 150 (58 plate). Does anyone know whether I should go for this one? http://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=2728 Or this one? http://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=3502 And what is the difference? Sorry I don't yet know how to do linkies! Oheers, Oli
  23. Driving through Clifton near Deddington in Oxfordshire, I spotted a Blue 7 in y rear view mirror. A quick wave shared, but no idea who with...anyone?
