On the road toward Haddenham, sorry I was so slow, Black Golf, you overtook me fairly easily! I was driving Mrs Mabbs. Sounded great.

Possibly too simple but I had a similar noise and it was the nut on the spare wheel slightly loose. Worth a look if you have one.

I found Stuart at Woodcote wouldn't budge an inch on price even though the car had some wheel arch damage. Forewarned/forearmed. Good luck and welcome.

Could someone please help me understand how oil takes longer to warm through? Yet water can then help cool the oil? If the water is heating up more quickly then what purpose does it serve? I once believed that the oil must heat more quickly, due to it's proximity to combustion/compression and the fact that it is thrashed by moving parts. I then thought the water, slightly further removed and obviously running through a heat exchanger, did the cooling. I'd be interested to get a better understanding if anyone has the time. ATB Chris

I've never had the pleasure to watch a race at kyalami but I've been to the circuit (they have a decent kart track there). It looks a great place and its loss would be a real shame.

Engine from a 2004 R300K with 21K miles on it. I have the pdfs of the Caterham Service history. I purchased from a fellow BC member with a view to upgrading my 1.4K, I have chosen not to because I'm probably selling the 7. The engine was a swap by the previous owner which means it comes without sump, pick-up, oil-filter housing, clutch, flywheel, alternator and throttle bodies. Perfect for upgrade project from 1400/1600. I'm in South Oxfordshire for collection. I paid £495 and would accept the same. Chris
