Hi All, Pistonheads link > here A very well cared for and sensibly upgraded R300 with the following specification: Bright Yellow with Viper stripes, 22,700 miles, always garaged MOT til May 2014 Purchased from Caterham Cars South in May 2011 with FSH R300 number plate included ENGINE (replaced in May 2012): Fully refreshed K-Series engine from Hellier performance in Salisbury fitted. The engine was fully stripped, cleaned and inspected and carefully rebuilt by Hellier Spec is as follows: - K16 big ported head - Paul Ivey valves - Colsibro long valve guides - Piper 285 Cams - Solid followers - Piper double valve springs and steel caps - Omega forged pistons - New VP2 motorsport main bearings - Balanced rods and crank - R500 lightweight flywheel - New AP racing clutch fitted - New alternator - All gaskets and cambelt, alternator belt changed - Silicon hoses fitted - Apollo tank - 3 oil changes completed after every 500 miles during running in. June 2012 Dyno ecu remapping and engine performance test : This was completed by Troy at Northampton Motorsport making a very healthy 210BHP at 7400RPM. The rev limit is set conservatively so the engine probably has some more power to give. Dyno plots are available on request. DRIVETRAIN AND SUSPENSION 6 speed caterham gearbox Superlight suspension, Uprated hispec / caterham brakes Limited Slip differential The Car has received a full suspension set up by New Techniques in Hampshire WHEELS AND TYRES (all new in Aug 2011) R500 8 spoke front wheels 6x13 (Yokohama A048RM 185/60-13) R500 8 spoke rear wheels 8x13 (Yokohama A048RM 205/60-13) Approx 2.5K miles on these tyres. Whilst driving to a trackday at Abingdon early today to quote James May "I ran out of electricity" Apart from learning my car is painted exactly the same colour as an AA relay truck 😬 , I also need a Replacement alternator. Can anyone recommend a good supplier. Not sure the exact alternator yet but for a K R300. Also is it better to buy new or is a reconditioned one fine ? Cheers

Hi, I have a Caterham carbon aero screen , my problem is that the central mirror is too wide and with a lowered drivers floor really restricts my vision on a track to the front near side for getting the Apex right (No jokes about being a midget needed - I'm 5"11). Current mirror > http://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=300 Can anyone recommend a replacement mirror that will fix to the same mounting ?
