  1. Keith and Jack Flash YBHM FLP - I haven't received anything yet. I think there might be a problem using Blatmail overseas so please e-mail me direct to 'nickpargiter at hotmail dot com' Cheers Nick
  2. Jack and flp YBHM Keith - I will let you know the postage cost for the handbrake over the weekend. Nick
  3. IMHO I don't think the VDO rev counter is that accurate. The shift light came on at just over 7000. I am now using an Elliot rev counter and the light comes on at 7400. My 1400SS engine has done just over 40k and is fine. The hydraulic followers could do with replacing as they are taking longer to charge but that is it. Nick
  4. Hi Darren I have a mechanical line lock in the cupboard that I am not going to use. Yours for £10 plus postage or I can bring it with me next weekend if you are going. Nick
  5. Hi Roger Have youe seen this one? here Nick
  6. Guys For those requesting postage costs I will look into that this evening and get back to you tomorrow. I will double check the ears as well but there are no marks on them to indicate they are the 0.25 deg ones. Mark - I haven't received any mail yet but you have first dibs Keith - this is the handbrake lever and all the cables, not the callipers Chris - the bonnet has the 7 louvres including the heater and has not been cut for carbs or TB's Nick
  7. After a few winter re-builds I have ended up with a selection of bits surplus to requirements. I have finally got fed up trying to work around them or moving them to get to other bits. Std Roll Bar (94 de-dion) and Boot Cover. £20 Standard Brake Master Cylinder. £25 Bodywork parts (car was painted Jaguar BRG with yellow nose band and bonnet strip) Bonnet, no cut out, 7 louvres(incl heater), good condition. £50 Advetised here first before they go to feeding time at the zoo on E-bay. The parts are in Sussex but I work near Guildford so can be transported there if easier. 8. I use the HT sealant from Debben Performance here Cheers Nick
  9. Hi Matt I've got an electronic line lock fitted. Mine is powered through the ignition and a momentary push button so only works when I hold the button down. How it operates will depend on the way you wire it up. To get it to work as an alternative handbrake you would need to wire it direct to the battery and a latching switch. I bought mine off ebay but have only ever seen them advertised in the US. You might want to try contacting some of the drag racing teams to see if they know of suppliers in this country. Nick
  10. Nifty I ditched the ignition key ages ago and now use a toggle switch and push button for starting. Originally I had a power feed from the toggle switch that went to the push button and then the WR wire from the botton. With the new ECU I removed the power feed from the toggle to the button and fitted a wire from the button to the earth point on the wiper motor housing. I'm not sure how you would do it if you still have the ignition key switch. Nick
  11. Nifty I had a similar problem after fitting the R400 ECU and loom to my car (94 supersport). Switched the ignition on and everything else worked but when I pushed the starter button nothing happened. I tried bypassing the MFRU and it worked. After much checking of connections and wiring I found the fault. The switching circuit (white/red wire) for the MFRU starter relay is earthed through the starter button rather than powered. Nick
  12. Has anyone got one lying around. Condition not critical as may get it re-trimmed. Thanks Nick
  13. I need to know where the wires from the engine loom connector go for an EU2 engine running an MBE ECU. Thanks Nick
  14. Steve A friend of mine used one, it worked fine to start with but then wrecked the silencer as it was creating too much back pressure. The silencer was a re-packable one and it just forced the exhaust gases out of the joins in the can. His engine builder went ballistic when he mentioned it. Nick
  15. David I have one going spare after upgrading. YHM Nick
  16. Wrong sprocket. I'm after the sprocket that fits onto the crankshaft and the bolt that holds it and the bottom pulley in place.
  17. Has anyone got the following for a 1.6/1.8:- 1. cambelt sprocket, pulley bolt and washer 2. cambelt cover (all 3 pieces) Needed for a replacement engine that Dave Andrews is building for me. Thanks Nick
  18. Rich It depends how much time you plan to spend on the motorways. My 1.4ss has a 6-spd and 3.92 LSD, driving down the French autoroutes at about 80-85 its running just under 5000 rpm. This can get tiring after a long run but the fun when you get onto the back roads/track days makes up for it 😬 😬. As Alan says try yours in 4th to see if you can live with it. Nick
  19. I'll take 1 pair of karting gloves, blue, large at £6 p+p £1.50 Thanks Nick
  20. David I think I still have a spare pair of adjustable platforms in the garage. I will check at the weekend at let you know Nick
  21. Hi Christian 1st dibs please. YHM Nick
  22. Dan I've got three standard de-dion ears for standard brake callipers. YHM Regards Nick
