  4. Phoned yesterday for the prices of the 8% and 22%. Was told £166+vat, no difference between them. That is for the wide track version as well. Nick
  5. The car gets used(or abused!) on the road most of the time but will probably try some track days. Arnie - is your 22% rack standard as I can't see the track rod extensions for the wide track suspension on the photo? Nick
  6. A large can of tyre weld should be enough to seal the leak and inflat the tyre enough to get you somewhere that can fix the tyre or home. Loosing the spare wheel at the extreme of the car improved handling ( 16" wheel and tyre not exactly light ) As far as any more serious damage is concerned, the weight of a 7 is so low that damage in the tread area is unlikely and that leaves the side wall. If you damage the sidewall it probably means you have got things wrong in a big way so a tow truck is going to be the only way of getting home anyway. 7. Am looking to replace the steering rack on a Vx powered car and was considering changing to a quick rack. The question is which one to go for. Would the 8% make much difference, and would the 22% be too much considering the Vx lump up front.( want to be able to park it without having to get arms like Arnie Schwarzenegger! ) Nick
  8. Why don't you just carry a can of tire-weld? Much lighter than a spare wheel and takes up no room at all in the boot.
  9. Vauxhall alloy race radiator required to cope with ever increasing engine upgrade
  10. Alex The exhaust ran for a bit with the standard injection(Vauxhall 2L engine by the way) and there was a difference in mid to high end performance. This was comparred to the Caterham 4-1 system previously fitted. This was emphasised more when we fitted the throttle-body kit. As for noise the SPD set-up is quieter than Caterham's but that is only speaking from the passenger seat. Nick Edited by - Nick Pargiter on 8 Mar 2001 11:59:30
  11. Alex, Have got SBD( BTB Exhausts )set up with primary pipes exiting in standard position. The primary pipes do all fit in under the bonnet. Noise doesn't appear to be problem, have been told it is quiet enough for Goodwood where the required levels are low. Only notice the noise when the loud pedal is buried in the carpet!
  12. Complete set of AP Racing rear brakes including De-Dion brackets and hand-brake(if you can call it that!). Looking for set of standard rear brakes, will consider part exchange.
