  1. Hi Rob, Mike is correct the deepest part of the Titan sump is the bell housing base which is 7.5cm (as best I can measure). The front is less, however I can't give you an accurate measurement, as I have taken an angle grinder & file to the front half of the sump. I am running quite low ground clearance (5-6cm) and the track here has some nasty rumble strips. At the front mounting bolts my sump is now 5.5cm, I guess I probably shaved about 0.8-1.0 cm off the front. Picture here and here of pre-modified sump pan. If you look at the first picture, my modified one, has the front fins chamfered from the mid-pan outlet all the way to the base of the outside fin on the front edge Dubai Duratec SV
  2. I think the R400 is a Titan Plenum and Raceline Cams, springs and retainers Dubai Duratec SV
  3. OK, just checked it, PDF file is now OK for download Dubai Duratec SV
  4. Sorry, just checked, it is mucked up, will re-upload, check back in 30 minutes Edited by - Dobuy on 24 Sep 2007 20:05:17
  5. I keep a back-up my Caterham stuff here and if you happened to have a peek you might find something of use 😬 Dubai Duratec SV
  6. So you think that renaming the topic will get you an answer..... Which Lambda are you using?? I am using the Innovate LC-1 and have had a failure. I actually fried the LC1 hardware, as the analog input from the Emerald was un-buffered. I got a new LC-1 and fitted the pre-requisite resistor. The failure did indeed show up on the Emerald software as an incorrect reading. If you are using the LC1, do you have a LED for fault display? Finally it is always worth checking your earths and re-calibrating the 02 sensor fully.
  7. No worries Darren, would be interested to hear of your experiences. What is the latest version of the K3 software? I wish Karl would host it on the Emerald site, along with an updated user guide.
  8. Just off on a trip, so I will have to keep this short. No expert on the adaptive settings, but you are welcome to download one of my maps from here I gleaned my configuration information from advice by others, seems to work very well, car is running great. Any comments, criticisms or improvements would be gratefully received. Darren, you are welcome to host it if you like, most details are on the first page of the map.
  9. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
  10. Had this on my SV, pinhole in the top of the front side of the tank. Used some epoxy and it was no good, bought some cheapo fuel tank sealant and all is good now. You can even use it while there is fuel in the tank, although I drained mine.
  11. I remember when AMMO stripped a new Duratec down at Holbay on one of his 'training evenings', he through the stock crank on the balancing machine and both he and the chap that did the crank balancing where bloody impressed at just how perfectly balance the stock crank was. Reckoned it wasn't worth touching, except of course once the clutch and flywheel were added. Modern engineering and tolerances obviously counts for something.
  12. Excellent results AMMO, sounds like an almost perfect spec for the average person, look forward to full details....
  13. Mike that includes exhaust, does the Emerald kit not include the ECU, not sure Edited by - Dobuy on 10 Sep 2007 14:57:55
  14. If you want an easy life contact Raceline, Ammo or Mick Attree who can all supply you with a nice solution. If you are willing to do a bit of work yourself and source some stuff from the US, then here is what's possible: 2.3 Basic Engine from USA here £1,125.00 Emerald 1620 fuel injection conversion kit direct from Emerald £1,328.00 2.3 Forged pistons ebay £240.00 2.3 Forged rods ebay £170.00 Raceline 250 Cams inc verniers 450.00 Raceline Oil Filter housing kit 75.00 Raceline Wet sump 345.00 Raceline Valve spring & retainer set £150.00 Raceline Lightened Flywheel £175.00 Raceline 8 1/2 Clutch Kit £150.00 Raceline Clutch actuator kit £135.00 Raceline Bell housing £245.00 Raceline Exhaust £625.00 Raceline Engine mounts £140.00 Spigot bearing & Misc plugs £10.00 Ford Starter Motor £150.00 Brise Alternator £150.00 Alternator adjustable pulley £75.00 ARP Big end bolts £ 70 Ford Pulley Bolt (1149131) £3.00 Total without VAT or any import taxes £5,811.00 You would still need to make a water rail, or get one from Mick Attree (better & cheaper than the Raceline one I have). The thing about Duratec is that engines of moderate horsepower (250bhp 2.3) are very easy to build yourself, with no special tools required except a valve tool. Dubai Duratec SV
  15. Thr new CC R400 has a 210bhp, 2.0 Duratec. This consists of a change of valve springs, retainers and Raceline cams. This is done with the head in place, using standard pistons and rods. Also in the spec is ARP big end bolts, Raceline wet sump and raceline oil filter adapter. The R400 has a single throttle body plenum chamber, if you added throttle bodies you would be pretty well on your 220bhp. If you can't do this below 5-6K I would be very surprised Go Duratec, you will not regret it Dubai Duratec SV
  16. Thankfully my SV came with them fitted Edited by - Dobuy on 3 Sep 2007 19:53:12
  17. Duratecs don't like dirty plugs, that much I know. If anyone wants a 2.3 260bhp 4 injector map, then email me through site below Edited by - Dobuy on 3 Sep 2007 14:59:28
  18. Brent, I changed to the R500 pump (thanks Mic) while the tank was still in the car, easy job, 1-2 hours max
  19. Mike I had the dame problem with my BGH pig-iron box, turned out to be a hairline crack near the bottom gearbox to bellhousing bolt, caused by all that Duratec torque. Changed to a Quaiffe case (and more powerful engine) all seems OK now.

    Holed Sump :(

I completely munted my Titan dry sump pan, to the point that I cracked the block as well. Quick session with the local Indian TIG welder fixed it up a treat, including pressing the bend in the sump pan straight. It might be very repairable, other wise contact Raceline for a replacement. When I did mine, it made some clanking noises just before shutdown, this was the Con-Rod bolts smacking one of the baffle plate retention screws. As the Titan sump pan, like yours was designed by Pete McKewan, he normally only has a couple of mm clearance, so any smack will push the screws into contact with the conrod bolts.
  21. Hi Richard, just got back from an unplanned and was late in getting your email, I presume you got all the measurements you needed off Ian. Let me know if you need anything else
  22. The base of the turret as per this picture measures 37cm however mine is covered in carpet, so allow for a cm of inaccuracy Dubai Duratec SV
  23. Baking nicely at Dubai mark 45, was going to have a look at them tomorrow to see if I can see any suntan Dubai Duratec SV
  24. Griff, you know you should have gone for D-Power when you had the chance 😬 😬 😬 Dubai Duratec SV
