  2. Thanks for all the kind comments about the car, I'm beginning to wonder why I'm selling it........ Oh yes, I've remembered, I've bought a Mega....
  3. Thanks Mike. 2 questions: What's the secret to success in Megas? Why so many *evil* .....????
  4. If you think it's exciting spectating, imagine what it's like in the car as 30+ cars head up to the hairpin at 90 mph.........
  5. Nah......Me? Scared of Trev? Never!! Looking at who is racing in Megas this year, I think Supers may be a much safer place to be.......
  6. Hello Richard, long time, no see. Not strictly true 'cos I spotted you at Donington last year, but you were deep in conversation with a customer & I didn't want to disturb you. ☹️ Sadly my Supers car is for sale ☹️ But I've bought a mega, so I'm going to play with the big boys this season.....
  7. 2003 Academy car (first registered 4.4.2003). I bought the car in 2004 & raced in SuperGrads in 2005 (13th), 2006 (9th) & 2007 (7th). Forged pistons fitted by McMillan MotorSport in 2005. Safety devices roll cage, side impact bar & rear wheel intrusion bar. 3 front anti roll bars (green, red & orange) Adjustable rear anti roll bar. New discs & pads all round 2007. AP Racing brake balance valve. Flexible braided rear brake hoses to allow the rear calipers to float giving more even rear brake pad wear. Plumbed-in Lifeline fire extinguisher system (Expiry date: November 2009). 6 point Caterham drivers harness (FIA expiry: end 2008). Momo black suede steering wheel. High visibility doors fitted (N/S is cosmetically challenged). Black screen surround, wipers & headlights. Car is prepared to SuperGrad specification, only part needed to race is a seat (many racers opt for a foam bag seat made specifically for the driver). Suspension is race set-up (camber, caster, ride height, rake, toe) & corner weighed for 76Kg driver (me!). Car will be corner weighted & ballast adjusted for the new driver. Car qualified on Pole at the Donington Caterham race Festival this year & 2nd at Thruxton in 2006. It could be a race winning car in the right hands…….. Car is road registered (GN03WHZ), currently taxed (Feb 2008) & MOT (24.4.08) & has covered approx. 10K mls. Price: £11500 ono. Photos available on request.

  10. Typical! No K-series dry sump questions for ages, then 2 turn up together..... Edited by - Mark Gregory on 5 Nov 2007 10:46:56
  11. Standard RoadSport catalyst/silencer exhaust (single pipe through sideskin). Not too fussed on condition.
  12. 😬 The real world of Caterham maintenance....... Thinking about it, couldn't you have reached the plug with your foot & carefully kicked it within reach of your free arm.......... Edited by - Mark Gregory on 2 Oct 2007 11:55:14
  13. Nick: Hmmmm, e-mail was sent immediately after I posted, strange . I'll definitely have the rear wings & nosecone (sorry Neil ). Perhaps if you could try e-mailing me your address I'll send you a cheque. Hopefully it will work the other way round..... Thanks, Mark
  14. Guys, I think you're talking at cross-purposes here. Mark & Paul are referring to the thread diameter of the bolt, whereas Ray is talking about the allen key (cap head - hex. socket) across flats (A/F) measurement. Good luck getting it out Ray, be sure to smear plenty of grease on the new bolt when you re-assemble.
  15. Avoid all these jokers, stick it on Ebake.
  16. Boss is obviously feeling a bit weak after a hard week gutting kippers. According to my manual the brake caliper bolts (7/16" UNF x 1.25") should be tightened to 40-45 lbft.
  17. Greg: Yes, the ride height will need to be adjusted when changing from CR322s to A539s. There is a minimum ride height of 120mm in all Grads classes, measured under the chassis rails. You normally set to 125mm on new tyres to allow for tyre wear & suspension settlement. In theory you could adjust all the platforms without the need to flat floor (fronts by x-turns, rears by y-turns) to reset the ride height whilst maintaining the rake, but it's probably worth having it flat floored, especially if you're planning to hillclimb & race. Anyway, what's all this stuff about hillclimbing, come & have a go at racing...... HTH, Mark SuperGrad 109
