Spotted an R reg 7 in 40th anniversary colours lunchtime today outside Mylnhurst School, my 1 year old son was very impressed, more so than he is with mine!

Hi Philip,
I am interested in the half doors, I have sent you an e-mail via the link in the pistonheads advert but have not had a reply. Can you confirm receipt and are they still available?
Many thanks
Greg
Hi Tam, will have to see if the little sprinter beats his or her first bogey time but I can't think of a better first day out, start as you mean to go on I say! If we don't make it, I'm sure Alastair will have a paddock playmate next year 😬
Good luck all, am gutted to miss our 'home' event this year but the next potential customer for the championship creche is due to arrive that week so couldn't risk an entry 😬
We'll be back next year
My 1.6 vx usually noise checks at about 94-96db so you should be fine. I echo Rogers comments about brakes. I run mintex 1144's and if the rear drums are properly adjusted the brakes are fine. If you search on here there should be several threads about adjusting the drums.
The thing you need to watch is the differential. The usual advice for the live axle is to overfill with diff oil and to avoid using tyres that are too sticky on track.
Above all, have fun!

Spotted a purple 7, aeroscreen and carbon wings and helmeted driver waiting to turn onto Brocco Bank at about 7.40 this morning. I was the one in the silver Impreza giving you the thumbs up
My outside temp gauge was reading 2 degrees at the time so all kudos for venturing out with an aeroscreen this morning.
If you search the acrchive on here you'll find that various people have described their preferred method for changing these bushes. You will probably find the new bushes need significant compression to fit. My method is to put the car on axle stands, squeeze the new bush(es) either side of mounting point on the A frame with the biggest wrench I can find and try to get the very top of the bushes inside the bracket on the underside of the diff housing. I then raise the A frame with a jack until the bushes slide fully home inside the bracket. I then insert the retaining bolt which may need a little tap with a hammer to centralise the A frame in the bracket. It helps to have 4 hands
Good luck!
That is really bad luck Andy, yours was a lovely car. At least you are in one piece that's the main thing and there should be plenty of choice out there for a replacement.
All the best
Greg
