  1. MY Powervamp Clubsport 22 has died, whats the best modern alternative that fits the Powervamp cage? Car hass 100% road use, pluged in to a Optimate conditioner when not in use. Not curently fitted with a cut off, but I might fit one if I have to leave the car >2 weeks without being able to put it on the optimate. When I fitted ythe powervamp I think I must have disposed of the Banner cage, so rfitting that is not an option.
  2. John V That's exactly how its split, I wasn't sure how long a superglue repair would last, but may do it as a temporar measure. Jonathan I use the Caterham exclusively on the road, so not interested in a mechanical gauge.
  3. On my way to Poole Quay I noticed that my oil pressure gauge was falling into the dash - on removal the casing is split so a new gauge is required. Caterham part is £102 and out of stock, anyone know if there is a drop in replacement from elsewhere?
  4. Just booked. A quick question - I presume as a novice day that helmets will be available to hire?
  5. Spacer fitted, front wheels now spin freely, backs put on Only had a chance to do a couple of miles, no issues yet. I may come down to Pool on friday to give the car a decent run.
  6. I'm going to pick up some spacers from Baz this weekend, they were fitted to his car when he brought it with these wheels. Never really liked the minilights, but its taken me 6 years to get round to changing them. The new wheels are a bit of an experiment to see if they work, if not I'll sell them on and keep looking. Car is 99% used on the road so track performance is not a priority.
  7. Front shot Old wheels were minilights with Avon ZV3 165/60R14 tyres on New wheels have Toyo Proxes T1R 205/45R16 87w - they were previously on a S3 without any problems as far as I know. Brought off Baz, whos a club member
  8. Putting some new to me wheel/tyres on and the front right is rubbing badly on the wing stay Is there an easy fix for this? The left hand side has about 2mm clearance The wheels in question - old wheels on the back
  9. I'll need to enlist a helper for that, or a better multimeter Anyone on the solent area want to go for a blat this weekend so I can see if it will charge when running?- must have a set of jump leads
  10. I have a hard wired plug for the optimate, so not a dodgy connection. The engine will turn with just the battery, but not fire. Plugging in the optimate and it fired first time after about 15 mins of charging. The drain is AFAIK the isolator - battery normally maintains enough charge to start the 7 for about 3 weeks. The trouble with fitting a battery isolator is that I will just forget to remove it, much like plugging in the conditioner.
  11. Resurecting my old thread - I might have actually killed it beyond hope this time A couple of weeks ago it failed to re-start after a journey, having started fine earlier in the day, managed to jump start it & went home. Its been on the optimate since, of to solent sevens last night, would not start, minutes after disconnecting the optimate, so had to take the tin top. 12v showing on the multimeter this morning, would not start on battery alone, would start when optimate connected, so its definatly the battery not suppliying enough power. Any recomendations for a replacement battery?

Peter - Did I see you yesturday afternoon on the A27 heading from the Segensworth roundabout towards Fareham? I wasn't in the seven sadly.
  13. Just don't let Caterham do it if you have OCD- this is how my dash ended up The labels leave a sticky residue behind once removed as well.
  14. I'm also thinking of doing this as my first TD - I'll need to hire a helmet as well.
  15. Quoting SUPERLIGHT91: Took me a while there Tony - but I see what you mean. I suppose if I was sitting behind it in traffic for more than a coupe of mins I might notice that :) My brother is looking for a clubman D at the moment - and I expect he would fit his own plate to whatever he buys I will be selling mine shortly 58 plate Cooper D Chilli pack in silver Genuine works wheels, in need of refurbishment 33000 miles
