  1. Shaun YHM and suggest you speak with Andy at PGM, if it is possible I am sure he can fix it. Mark
  2. Tony I expect a 'polished' performance
  3. Lines look good but most of your time will be gained in the first corner (paddock). This is where practice can help and you gradually increase your speed.
  4. I would also add that Mark Gibson is an experienced sprinter who has driven Curborough many times in different cars. Curborough is a technical course and needs tuition/practice to set a good time.
  5. Andy Off the line you will gain time as an open diff will spin up one wheel and you will also benefit when exiting a corner. For example you will have better traction when exiting Fradley which will increase the exit speed that you will carry down the straight. However, you better check the regs if you intend to go racing as an LSD might not be permitted. Hopefully Mark Gibson will be along soon as he has competed at Curbs in a similar spec car.
  6. LSD, driver training and experience. I cannot comment on the ARB but did you suffer from understeer.
  7. The dampers are 18 years old so will be well past their best so either have them refurbished or replace. If you just want a cosmetic job use Satin Black smooth hammerite.
  8. Many thanks to everyone who made it possible. A great weekend and I have been putting my awards to good use
  9. for TM and I will post mine tomorrow
  10. I expect the availability and supply of parts is the likely reason.
  11. I expect given the lightweight of a Caterham the wheels will lock before any twisting takes place.
  12. Why do you feel the need to change the brakes as many CSR race cars with 300+BHP run with the standard big brakes without any issues. I would optimise what you have, maybe change the pads and spend the money saved on driving the car.
  13. Richard I will take a look later and see if I have pair. Mark
  14. Do you have a battery master switch as these can be unreliable and give the symptoms you have described.
  15. No need to remove the tower, as Aerobod says undo the dizzy cap screws and then rotate the cap until you have sufficient clearance to remove the lead.
  16. If you have a K series with the dry sump bell tank then use a split pin or r clip.
  17. I would call Emerald and ask who they would recommend
  18. On the road the rears will take longer to warm up so it will initially be susceptible to oversteer but nothing you cannot control with careful use of your right foot. However, for sprinting you will need to check the regs to see what compound is allowed in your class.
  19. I have a spare 3.38 crown wheel and pinion that covered just 6k miles for £250.
  20. The Duratec has sufficient power for a different diff ratio without blunting your acceleration. I would check to see what ratio you have and then consider the options. I have a spare Ford 3.38 Crown Wheel & Pinion which could work and let me know if this is of interest.
  21. The 6th gear ratio is 1:1 and you cannot change this so if you want to reduce the revs at 70 mph you will need to change the diff. Do you know what ratio you have, this is likely to be could be 3.6 although some have a 3.9. If you change the diff ratio it will impact on acceleration. What engine do you have?
