    160 Wheels

the Caterham alloy wheel for the 160 looked exactly the same as the alloy wheel we run in the Citroen C1 Club racing series! We spotted the C1 Club sell them at a lower price. From the C1 side, these are made by Rim Stock/Dynamics, and were a wheel sold in Europe for C1/107/Aygo. From what i can see these are the same size as the wheels for the 160 - 4.5x14" but looks like the C1 is PCD 100x4, if 160 is 105x4 then i guess Caterham had a batch of these built to this different PCD. https://c1racing.club/product/alloy-wheel/ Though for a Seven, I`d rather go a slim line minilight, if there was such a wheel.
  2. I have a drivers half door and looking for a passenger side half door to make a set, anyone got one lying around?
  3. Oh no. Sorry to hear that, definately looked like water getting to parts it shouldn't!
  4. hey all, I popped down this afternoon and watched the timed runs after lunch, here are some pics. I think i got everyone... even Dan Malkin's smokey moment (HGF?) give me a shout if anyone wants full size images emailing over. earlier ones are'nt great quality as the light was quite poor, keep going to end for some attempts at motion blur! https://photos.app.goo.gl/sy3qDHGT9AwtnZGe8 Cheers, Andy
  5. Has anyone got the design of the bracket some used to make the harness top mounting points closer together to support HANS usage? A friend is interested in giving this approach a go. Andy

    wheel nuts

Swapped wheels over today. Studs are 40mm type, with 30mm of thread from the face of the hub. Nuts are 20mm. So if end of stud 2mm or less from end of nut then I have the 18mm of coverage. I think these pass.

    wheel nuts

Thanks for the comments all. SJM - I just looked around the other class 1,2,3 cars around and didn't spot any other open ended nuts. I did this quick look around with the scruitineer to compare as I was questioning. Mark - thanks for the offer, will leave it for now but will give you a shout if we think it's required!

    wheel nuts

thanks Mark. I cant secure any more of the stud with the current nuts. I need to swap wheels over anyway, so will measure if i have 18mm coverage. new nuts just hides the situation, and i assume studs are standard length.I`d rather not have to spend £50 on upgrading my nuts if i can avoid it!

    wheel nuts

just working through my list for the winter, at Curbourgh in August the scrutineer mentioned my wheel nuts, i have the open ended type, and she said that there should be more of the stud head through the nut. This would need longer studs, but looking around i didn't see anyone else with the same nuts, the others i spotted were of the closed head type. i assume i should invest in these from CC Parts, they will be no more secure, just the stud not visible? my nuts CC Parts
