  1. James I recommend you speak with Simon at Meteor Motorsport as he will be able to recommend the spring rates and dampers (which must be matched) to suit your requirements
  2. I agree with Chris and if you buy a good secondhand BJ Minno or similar it is unlikely to depreciate and will sell easily when you have finished with it.
  3. Here is my , a new PB and just quick enough for a class win
  4. Dan Jeff beat you in the first 64ft
  5. I think he was returning to his vintage caravan and planning on a night of celebration
  6. There are a significant number of invited clubs/championships so may be this has increased and upped the number of entries
  7. I have a 3.38 crown wheel and pinion removed from a Blackbird that had covered under 6k miles if your interested. In good condition and removed by Road & Race when I changed to a 3.14.
  8. What camber are you running and is the wear around all the outside of the tyre?
  9. Chris Is the unusual wear on the inside or outside of the tyre?
  10. My T2 from yesterday, must remember to bring the larger 'Kahuna's' next year
  11. Alan If you have snapped the ceramic part of the plug and left the metal part in the head I have a magnetic plug socket the should remove the remains.
  12. The Chris Alston Checklist Where is the laptop Is the Stant cap fitted correctly ...to be continuedSee you at Gurston
  13. Chris I have left you a voicemail and I am not convinced you have a head gasket failure. The compressions you have will be sufficient to stop your car rolling back. I would start by checking the following: Oil - any sign of water normally indication is the oil turning milky with a mayo consistency, check oil filler cap and dipstick. What temperature is indicated, is the car running hotter than normal? Is the fan operating correctly? Is the thermostat opening when expected? The compressions are within 10% of each other and whilst No1 is a little low it does not necessarily indicate head gasket failure, this is a Zetec not a K Give me a call if you want to discuss further
  14. Go to a quiet car park or road, dial in 6k revs and dump the clutch. If you have made two tyre marks you have an LSD
  15. I would describe Shaun's car as well used especially at speed events where it is shared with Gill who also enjoys 'mullering' the odd kerb or three
  16. Steve I suggest you give Andy a call and I expect it will depend on what is found.
  17. Steve IIRC the engine is a 1.8K and is likely to have verniers fitted. How loose is the cambelt and 'normally' you can turn the belt through 90 degrees on the side opposite to the tensioner, anymore suggests a problem. Is the tensioner loose? I agree with Ian remove the plugs and carefully turn the engine over but stop if you feel any increase in resistance. If you have verniers have these had marks added that align when no 1 cylinder is at TDC? If the engine needs attention then Tom New can probably assist.
