  1. Hi Peter Please could you send me photos of the jacket. Kingsley.
  2. I had a Xflow for 11 years always used NGK B8ECS Starting the car always pushed pedal down about 5 times then fired up , picking it up on the throttle as soon as she fired. If you can find someone with a rolling road who can set up Webber’s I would go that route. Kingsley.
  3. Have a word with Dave Ashford of Brunswick Motorsport at Witchford near Ely Cambridgeshire. 01353 668840 Dave was Peter Baldwin’s understudy many years ago. He built a new cross flow engine for me about three years ago, that was awesome ,and he has his own rolling road. Kingsley.
  4. Try ttvracing.com Look at there website and send them an email as it may not show up. I seem to think a guy called Ben is your man. Kingsley.
  5. Hi Jim sorry just seen your post. The answer to your question is no, my pal had done it some time ago and he has not had a problem either. Kingsley.
  6. I had a problem with mine which turned out to be the Flap in the filler neck, always struggled to get the spout past the flap, solved it by removing the flap completely , as several others have done !
  7. I did have similar problem. I had the censer on the rear hub repositioned and it was a whole lot better, although when the weather is hot it does make a little difference. Certainly not as bad as it was.
  8. If you don't get any joy from the above I would try a Ford main dealer.
  9. I got my hands on my first 150 SV last year, it was a car that the first owner had finished building in 2009 had had a few outings in it then his health had started to fail. So when I bought it with less than a 1000 miles on the clock there were issues. Particularly the bogging down at low speed, she just was as lumpy as hell. I took it to Luke Stevens at team Leo's Motor sport where he discovered that the throttle position sensor was wired round the wrong way ! After that was sorted it did run a lot better , but still not how I would of expected, so he took it down to the Two Steves where they transformed the car with a remap, she now runs as sweet as a nut and an absolute pleasure to drive. As I understand it took Caterham three remaps to get the 150 sorted, by the time the third one was done Caterham had already made the decision to drop it, they could buy the 140 from Ford straight out of the box and drop it into the car without doing a thing. Prices were kept the same,so as DRH comments , without the cost of throttle bodies Caterham were cutting their costs. I have the 5 speed gearbox which I find really good for touring , as DRH says you will have to think of what sort of driving you are likely to be doing as to which box you may find best. Good luck with your testing. Kingsley.
  10. Thank you guys for your comments, DJ. they look very good had not thought of a dual horn and may be easier to fit. Sorry for not responding earlier , but we are on holiday and have been out for the day. Kingsley.
  11. If I was to change the hooter for air horns , is it a simple swap of the terminals from existing horn onto the compressor ? Kingsley.
  12. I have to admit in trying to fit my own but because of the curve on the nose cone it is a hell of a job to do , in the end I went to a graphic design company and they did it for me at not a great expense. They do look good, I did not have an issue with the friendly Mot station. Kingsley
  13. Really good of you to go to such great lengths John. Kingsley.

  18. Bigcol Is it Manuel or Auto ?
  19. I don't have my X Flow any more but I did convert mine to a sealed system. From memory you will need to find an old style Ford Fiesta thermostat housing , also you will need an old style expansion tank that use to be fitted to some of the K series Sevens. I know if you speak to Mick at Redline he did have some of the tanks. What I did was to fit two small angle brackets to the top of the heater and bolted the expansion tank to those. Im sure I could find some pictures somewhere of the engine bay if you Blat mail me your email address I will try to send them over. It is a worthwhile thing to do. Kingsley.

  22. I had a very similar problem earlier this year, I had the sensor readjusted on the rear hub and it has been fine ever since. May be as simple as that.
