  1. Picked up my new (to me ) Roadsport SV yesterday , it has the leather S type seats fitted. Is there a knack to remove the head rests? They seem most stubborn to come out.
  2. What tyre pressures should I run a Roadsport 150 SV with CR500 I think they are 195s.
  3. Hi Steve Well as you know Bev( my wife ) is disabled with MS,and she not getting any better,so I saw an absolute cracker of an 150 SV on piston heads with only 950 mls on it, we went up to Leeds to see it and bought it. The car looks brand new. An SV is better for her with it being slightly bigger , makes it easier to get in and out It will be very hard to give the keys over to another owner, as it has been such a good car to us. Kingsley
  4. Try Classic Silicone hoses.
  5. Hi would you have a photo of the tunnel bag and map pocket please. Kingsley.

  8. Jonathan I had an issue a couple of years back and used Speedy Cables for my VDO speedo , they were very good , but not the quickest or the cheapest Kingsley.
  9. Oliver I have just had my X Flow rebuilt if you would like to get in contact I am more than happy to talk to you about the costs. Kingsley.
  10. I had new Accralite pistons recently 84mm and they were in stock from Burtons. Kingsley.
  11. Just had mine rebuilt , it was board out to 84mm that is now 1720cc.
  12. Thanks Grant That looks a nice piece of kit. Kingsley.
  13. I would ring Redline I'm sure they can help you. Kingsley.
  14. Jonathan when I get my car back I will be able to check the diameters , she is away having the engine rebuilt. Hi Andy hope all is well ? Dave the engine builder feels it may well be a problem with the carbs but I will get him to check or replace the senders. He has got to finish an engine he is building for the Paris to Peking rally, a BMW 2002 ti. From the 70s. Very interesting guy. He knows I have more or less finished for the year now. We Will be back !!! Kingsley.
  15. Jonathan My car is an 1989 model, would they be 52mm or not? Kingsley.
  16. Jonathan I have looked at the Racetech dials , there are not to many company's that do the dual oil pressur / temperature gauge. I had considered replacing all three in the dash, but I will see how expensive the engine turns out to be.
  17. I am still thinking more to fit a dual dial as my engine went "Pop"on the Rolling road ', which is thought to have been over heating issue so I want to keep an eye on temperatures when up and running.
  18. Scott Look on the For Sale section someone is selling seats for an SV. Kingsley.
  19. Thanks Duncan will look into that. Kingsley.
  20. I am having my engine rebuilt and it has been suggested that I fit a dual dial of oil temperature and pressure which means that there would be one odd dial in the set. My quistion is can I buy dials to match using the standard sensors fitted by Caterham? The Car is a 1989 XFlow so speedo is cable drive. Any suggestions welcome.
  21. I had a long chat this morning with Dave at Brunswick, and he is not ruling out anything as you have suggested he will check everything out,the block was off to Iver Searl's today to be checked then reboard, fortunately he has his own rolling road and will run the engine in on the rollers taking temperature readings as he goes. He tells me he has an instrument that gives him the temps at each of the manifolds ( sounds good to me) but as he remarked " he has to be happy with it because he has to put his name to it") They seem a very professional outfit !! ( only time will tell. )
  22. Oliver Would that have shown up more because we were running at full tilt on the rollers? Not looking for any blame just cause. Kingsley.
  23. Andy I think it may well be a FEW beers Im told that new set Pistons have been ordered.
  24. The Engine was rebuilt in 2008 to a B race spec using Accolite Forged Pistons. Having spoken to Dave at Brunswick Racing, who is carrying out the work says that he even wonders if the back Carb had been running Leane.
