  1. Thanks again Mikey for the very kind offer. Unfortunately the insurance is prohibitive (around £1200 !!!) and much more expensive than for smaller superminis so we will have to pass. Maybe it will make it to Dakar! Boy would I love to be able to do one of those trips... Jon
  2. One of the guys who works for me is very interested and would be more than happy to sponsor you. Whereabouts exactly are you? Could you blatmail me some contact details please. Also do you have any more information on the fuel filler repair needed? Many thanks, Jon
  3. Hi, what size and condition are the cycle wings? Drilled? Are they original Caterham ones? Many thanks, Jon
  4. What a comprehensive set of answers Thank You!
  5. Thanks, looks good, just see they have a bit of a minimum order so I'll have to choose some other stuff too
  6. After a wonderful week heading out to the Oldtimers Grand Prix at the Nurburgring GP circuit (absolutely superb event for those who've not been). I feel I really need to replace my standard indicator toggle switch with something of decent quality. It rarely cancels the indicators when returned to the middle position, requiring a further light touch or continuing to buzz away like it is short circuiting... Can you suggest a better quality, preferably similar style switch? Many thanks, Jon
  7. Blatmail me with what you have, the price you're looking for, networked locked to etc. Many thanks, Jon

    Sounds like Ric?!
  9. There is certainly some wiggle room on this car as the chap has moved to London and it resides at his parents place in Bournemouth. Lovely V8 barge for someone!
  10. On behalf of a colleague A very clean and pampered car...
  11. Sent you a text in case it was a bit late to call. Could make a handy runabout while I find a replacement for my Porsche 968. Jon
  12. Pistonheads Ad for Pics June 1994 "L" Registration Midnight Blue Porsche 968 Sport with black leather interior and sports seats (a significant improvement over the standard flat cloth seats in a Sport). The 968 Sport is a UK only model built in very low numbers (somewhere in the region of 180-200 still exist). It is based on a 968 Club Sport with the lower, stiffer suspension, 17" Wheels and less weight than a Coupe. The difference between the Club Sport and the Sport is that the Sport had rear seats, electric front windows, electric tailgate release and a few other bits added back in. A beautiful usable example and my daily driver, she benefits from the following recent work: • New Rear Brake Discs, Pads (EBC Greenstuff) and Wear Sensors (2nd April 2013) • Bournemouth Porsche Centre Service (21st March 2013 at 135,405 miles) • New Falken FK452 Rear Tyres (3rd March 2012 at c.130,000 miles) • Jon Mitchell Garage Porsche Major Service including: New Camshaft Belts, Balance Shaft Belts, Cam Chain, Rollers, Slippers, Tensioners, Clutch Fluid (13th February 2012 at 129,585 miles). JMG commented that the camshafts were good and the cylinder head very clean. • New Front Brake Discs, Pads (EBC Greenstuff), Racing Blue Brake Fluid Change and Wear Sensors (29th January 2012). In addition to standard spec, I have upgraded the radio to a modern Sony mechless unit with Bluetooth and fully IPOD functionality. I also have a set of Porsche 16" Design 90 Wheels and Winter Tyres by seperate negotiation. MOT expires: 9 October 2013. The car has done 136,000 miles and is available for £7499.
  13. Didn't know there was another sevener lurking - I've recently moved from Xchurch road. Have to catch up sometime.... Jon
  14. Thanks Andy, I'll now pass - it was with SWMBO in mind and when questioned she remains a technophobe Jon
  15. I'll put in a disclaimer that I am no expert but have also found this. However, aren't they graded by amps and with that amp grading size to a degree too? i.e. Yellow 30amp bigger than blues then reds? Maybe swapping from a Yellow to a blue or blue to red will give a better fit? Just an idea Jon
  16. A long shot but helping a colleague buy one of these. Must be dark grey or black. What have you? Thanks, Jon
  17. That looks absolutely gorgeous Shame I only have a CBT and a wife who would kill me if I bought such a thing 😬 Best of luck with the sale
  18. You followed me in my dark blue 968 through Merley and into Wimborne You're coming to the Quay on Friday night I trust Jon
  19. Looking for something Japanese, low maintanance and preferably around or below the £1000 mark - WHY ?
  20. Shame, second dibs please if it falls through
  21. Thanks John but unlikely as it failed having been used for much of the day on its highest setting. Makita service agents seem like rocking horse poo too (searched their website for several locations and am yet to find a single one!) Know any?! Will get a replacement body from ebay and hopefully at some stage get this one fixed as a spare at some stage. Thanks for the tips, Jon
  22. Thanks guys, will get a verdict from a Makita service centre then. Jon
