  1. Followed a convoy of 4 on the road from Reims into Epernay to the Avenue des Champaignes at about 17:30 tonight. Was wet, no hoods, respect. We were in a Golf. Stragglers from Le Mans Classic, head home tomorrow
  2. My previous car had 2 flasher units one for Hazards and one for indicators
  3. Good to hear you're fixed This is the one I've been using for the last 12 months. Loooked and felt good quality and only took about 10min to crimp the old plug on,
  4. I have a 4 speed clutch cable unused and no longer need it £15 + delivery Can even bring it to Le Mans Classic and pass it to you there if wanted
  5. Hi Boss They do sound like the symptom I had when my Lambda "went" Don't think there is any advantage in using "expensive" petrol in Sigma cars as there is no knock sensor which will alter the timing to take advantage of the higher octane rating. Always run my car (a Roadsport 125 recently upgraded to 140 spec and recently pretty much thrashed 1300 miles up and down the west coast of Scotland) on regular 95 RON without a problem.
  6. Was up there all weekend - thankfully it was dry and sunny all weekend Round 2 of the British Cross Country Championship
  7. I was in the Golf and said hello when you were stopped. Lovely day for a Blat.
  8. a) A 20 may be better for road use. b) No (don't like small loads long term) - Fit an FIA switch. c) Yes that's what most people do. Edited - meant a 20 not a 25 Edited by - John Hughes on 24 Apr 2012 17:44:30
  9. Steve I had a Lambda failure on my 125 last which I diagnosed by the loan of Nick's lead (so useful I have since bought my own). I just installed Easimap on my PC, connected the USB, the lead to the connector to the right of the steering column under the scuttle, turned on the ignition and it connected. The symptom I had was that once warm the car wouldn't run cleanly at a constant throttle setting / speed. Easimap showed that the Lambda output was a constant voltage and not going from I think 0.8 to 1.03v constantly once up to temperature.
  10. If Lambda it will probably run OK when cold. / warming up. When warmed the Lambda comes into play when running at constant throttle / load. I found that acceleration was no problem but running at constant speed a nightmare. I doubt that just disconnecting it will help - may do until engine warms and ECU then uses the Lambda input.
  11. ? Lambda - had similar symptoms on my Sigma when the Lambda failed
  12. Lambda will only come into play once it is up to temp
  13. Peter Thank goodnes normal service has resumed *smile*
  14. Peter I'm surprised you haven't suggested an aerosceen as it will mask some of the induction roar when traveling at speed *smile*
  15. There's me trying to make my sigma louder like my old cross flow. I do miss the lack of "ringing ears" when I return from a blat. I hope the new supersport 4" silencer "does what it says on the tin" Seriously though some sort of airbox is probably the only solution but if not carefully designed and matched to the carbs it probably will reduce the power and torque. Induction roar was only a problem when it set off car alarms *smile*
  16. Not been called a "good Doctor" before *smile* Thanks to both Peter and Bill for your help.
  17. It was excellent until I hit the Focus. There are extenuating circumstances though. ☹️ ☹️
  18. Went today and there is plenty of stuff to look at. Well worth a trip to look round. LADS stand looked very good.
  19. I hope you'll get several blats in before the LMC *smile*
  20. Two yellow, a black and Ali, a silver and a red accompanied by several shady characters
  21. Pops and bangs me like *thumbup* Not as good as the old crossflow though
  22. John I have a collection of Crossflow bits including a brand new Bosch coil, Lucas / Aldon dizzy cap / rotor arm. Will check what else. You are welcome to try them if you want. Symptoms do sound awfully like my problems when in the IOM 2yrs ago though
