    I'd be a definite maybe.
  2. I have a release fork from a type 2 in the garage.for cable release. Think there is also a crb but its well used. I would suggest a new one. John Edited by - John Hughes on 14 May 2011 10:46:21
  3. Long shot but anyone got a unwanted new style "guardless" Sigma silencer they would be willing to sell
  4. Sam Worked well for me, as GJT says the wheel can move slightly. I forgot to say I did have a luggage strap over the wheel / rack to hold it firmly in place even when my luggage rack was attached for 3 camping trips to Le Mans. The original long bolt / washer / locking device was easily long enough to cope with the mod. John
  5. My previous 1986 Live axle car didn't have a spacer originally. Made one out of a piece of 1.5" plastic pipe cut to the appropriate length and 2 disks of 5mm plywood at each end one with a 1.5" cut out so the pipe fitted in it. Worked well for 20k + miles, you can also male the gap to do the poppers as big or small as you like and will cost next to nothing
  6. Have you had the top cover off and put it back the wrong way round ??
  7. Hi Kenny That sounds like it may be just the job. Will mail my phone no. to you John
  8. As above, with "aircraft buckle" and unclippable shoulder straps Not for track use so not worried if "out of date" as long as in good condition and not previously "used in anger"
  9. You need a 74C thermostat in a crossflow
  10. They are all brand new bits - the fitting kits are stick in the sealed bags

Hi Russ Good to see you. 2nd time I've been to Vyrnwy this year I recommend breakfast at the Old Barn Cafe and lunch is excellent on the verandah of thre Lake Vyrnwy Hotel. Hope you had a good blat - we did. John (the Grey one (Titanium Silver if we're being precise 😬 😬))

Hi Mick Stu Forshaw was looking for a water rail the other day, not sure if he's still looking John
  14. Profile change will give you slightly higher gearing. Slightly more sump clearance.
  15. Tom What you need are a set of spare wheels to put the 888s on as they sound nicely scrubbed for trackdays Speak to Matt he may have some surplus to requirements. John
  16. Mines never felt wallowy or bouncy thank you very much *smile* Always compliant and less harsh 😬 😬 Give a go for that price - plenty will take them off you if you don't like them though I think that will be unlikely. John
  17. P.S. I may be up for 2nd dibs if you don't want them at that price 😬 😬 😬 😬 😬
  18. Hi Tom For the price you can't go wrong with the 21rs. They are an excellent compromise for road use, they hardly ever tramline and are a bit more compliant on the bumpy potholed roads we have up north. Give 10-15mm more sump clearance. Work well in the wet. Only problem I've found is they overheat after about 10min on a dry trackday. They will bring the gearing up to 20mph/1000rpm in 5th. John

    MPG

Since getting my Roadsport 125 in Feb I've done 1200 miles and it averages 30-35 mpg. My previous car a 1700 Supersprint driven on similar Blats at similar speeds averaged at best 25mpg.This is on the road, don't expect anything like this on the track. The tank as you say holds 8 gallons though the "usable" amount varies from car to car depending on the length of the pick-up. I have found out mine manages 7 usable gallons and is unable to get the last gallon out of the tank. I believe that the pick-up can be extended to improve range with of piece of tubing, The fuel gauge is not very reliable so I fill up before 200 miles is on the trip. 20. At last I've been spotted 😬 😬 😬 Only taken 10yrs and a change of car. We were completely liberating my half liberated front wing, lucky it broke loose from the lower rear mount first. Looking at my video it had managed about 5 fairly rapid miles as it was pretty much hidden from view behind my GPS. Sorry if I caused you bother Nick, but it was an excellent Blat. John
  21. Was it a complete package or did you buy your son separately ????? 😬 😬 😬 😬 😬 😬 😬
  22. Saw you in my mirror, turning right over the level crossing towards Llanidlose 17:50 Sat 5/3/11
