  1. If the place in Widnes has one I could collect and bring it down to the L7C club diner next weekend if that helps
  2. If It's a sigma or duratec the Caterham bypass pipe has a Lambda boss
  3. Sigma 125 to 140 kit includes Supersport cams Updated valve springs Manual cambelt tensioner Lightened flywheel All Ali radiator / bigger fan Cold air airbox / filter - cut out in bonnet Updated map on ECU Supersport badge on the cam cover The best bit I think is the tiny supersport silencer which sound like a Caterham should. Well worth the extra £220 on its own. *smile*
  4. They are not headlight bulbs i.e. they do not have a dip/beam function so only work in a fog or driving light setup.
  5. Home now have emailed my contact detaiks

Green with Yellow strip followed by a Silver with Orange nose band ? If so that will be Domus and me heading to Newton Stewart for a few days after the MADS Scottish Borders Weekend. Weather was excellent until today. But that's what distillery trips are for
  8. First dibs please/ I'm away until Wednesday will contact you then if thats OK
  9. All I know is when I removed the drive shafts to swap the diff over the winter I didn't make mess on nice garage floor tiles of the "Busted Knuckle Garage" aka Mr Richards garage.
  10. Hi Nigel 1. Good time to change to flexible hoses across the De Dion tube. Always difficult to remove the pipe from the caliper as the nut tends to corrode to the pipe and twists it as it's removed. you may get enough wiggle room by releasing the P clips that hold the pipes to the De Dion. 2. The drive shaft will just pull out once the De Dion ear is unbolted.DON'T touch the toothed ring. It should be locked, moving this will change the pre-load etc on the bearings which carry the diff inside. 3. No need to drain the oil.The oil level is below the bottom edge of the seal. That is unless you plan to change it. If so an oil pump can be used through the filling plug to suck it out eg Brass oil pump 4. As far as I know the oil seal will be a standard size - check with SPC Components, Redline etc they will know for sure John
  11. John I have the one from the old car lying around in the garage you are welcome to it if it fits. It is red though John
  12. Personally I would have checked the carb balance with a synchronometer before dismantling them if they had been "adjusted" by someone just before the problem occurred. I nothing has been changed on the engine ie cans / timing etc then the jets and emulsion tubes will not need changing. If you have the carbs apart clean the jets and tubes by blowing through with compressed air. When refitting the carbs to the manifold don't over tighten them. They will then need re-balancing with a synchronometer and the idle set up.
  13. I believe you can. I rang them last week but the chap that does the mirrors was off on hols. I extended mine a few years ago by cutting the originals and using Ali tube from B&Q and epoxy I extended them by an inch and a half out and an inch higher. Recently though I have changed to the GT. Size mirror which I feel are a big improvement.
  14. Do you want me to bring a spare next weekend ?
  15. I'm 5'10" and have had my Roadsport 125 converted to 140. With lowered floors and leather seats the shift light is just visible below the rim of the steering wheel. The top of the Speedo and Tacho are obscured as is the left indicator tell tale. If I was an inch taller I guess the sift light would be obscured. This is with the small (260mm) standard Momo steering wheel. I do have a slightly larger (280mm) Momo wheel which improves the view of the instruments considerably, however I prefer the smaller wheel. I can live without a clear view of the instruments as when giving it the "beans" I'm not often looking at them. The flash of the shift light is visible though. I suppose the options are 1. Move light up / down. 2. Bigger wheel. 3. Change to lower seats though I assume you have Tillets if it's a Supersport. 4. Remove seat runners and fix seat directly to floor. 5. Change driving position / crouch down a bit. 6. Get Osteoporosis and shrink an inch *smile*
  16. Tom At present it is over-fueling by the symptoms - so if RR and mapped the injectors may well fall back into a more appropriate duty cycle when the fueling is optimised
  17. Tom Surely if the injectors are currently running at 90-100% then you don't want to swop for lower capacity injectors
  18. Sounds like a good excuse for a blat to George Polley near March (PE15 0JR) can't be that far away from you. He usually has the best price for 185/70x13 A021r - can't be beaten for all round use on the road IMHO What ever the difference in tyre diameter is the handling will be so much better with 21's all round I wouldn't worry. 19. Have a look on the SBD website for the lead to connect to the ECU via the "ODB" port. costs about £120. You can also download the latest version of the Easimap software. A Caterham supplied ECU is locked and so the map cannot be altered but you can see and record many ECU parameters in a computer. ODB diagnostic codes are not output by the MBE ECU even though it is an OBD connector and cheap ODB cables off eBay don't appear to work with the Easimap software. The data output can be useful to identify problems with sensors / tps / lambda etc
  20. Must have retired then 😬 😬 😬
  21. I believe the Roadsport 140 has the Supersport 140 engine and therefore runs a single throttle body
  22. On said roundabout at about 16:45
  23. Bonjour Ian Didn't realise it was you. We were a couple of cars behind going down into and through Epernay. Saw you parking up in the garage and it was too busy (and wet) to stop. We came to Epernay on Thursday from little village called Nitry about 20km north of Avallon. Hope the weather improves for the rest of your trip. We are just sitting on the boat in Zeebrugge as it turns round, will be back in Hull in the morning and home for lunch.
