  1. Many of you (all called John) have been after this, seems John Alston has won the bidding with a god donation to RAD. Give me a call John to sort collection 07802 354479, not around tonight or tomorrow but home on Sunday if that works. Just off Queens Rd behind RED if that makes sense.
  2. It is for charity so not averse to a highest bidder auction
  3. email is dave@dcrump.com mobile 07802 354479. Cheers Dave
  4. Having sold my long cherished 7 a few months back I have recently discovered an almost unused Soft Bits boot bag (FIA bar) Available for collection from Weybridge or Crawley for a suitable donation to Race Against Dementia. Thinking £50 but open to more.
  5. BRG/Yellow stripe 87 X-Flow. 5 Speed Dion, 70k miles, Garaged/owned by me since 2,000. Good condition for age. Soft Bits Half Hood and original weather gear (poor condition and never used). 6. Have to agree with Aeroscreens. Best thing I ever did on 1st track day was get some tuition. Make sure you get an early slot so you get the best from the rest of the session.
  7. Just booked upmost have missed it in low flying see you all there.
  8. Was set to be a great day until I started ejecting oil into the engine bay, fortunately not onto the track. Had two great sessions but then decided to head home for the sake of my engine and fear of spoiling it for the rest of you. Dropped into Redline en route and looks like problem was a failed-bodged catch tank. Lesson to be learned but fortunately simple to fix. Bummer as the weather seemed great in the afternoon, should have come back! See you next year.
  9. Agree 100% with the above, somebody bodged my head before I bought the car so one Manifold bolt is now bigger than the others. Helicoil is the way to go.

    VDO Tacho

My Tacho seems to have died, needle bounced around for a while and then died. Any suggestions where I might get it checkedfixed or how to test it. Has 3 connections on the back + 1 -
  11. From the initial post it seemed the engine is cranking normally so assume it is not a starter issue. Having had an old Xflow for many years I thought I would share my experience. For years I had problems with regular diode failures on the alternator and starter failure when sitting in traffic. Have systematically replaced alternator, starter and then wrapped pipes as far as bodywork and now have no problems, fingers crossed. Have also replaced rad and this combined with lagged pipes seems to allow the engine bay, engine and feet to all run a lot cooler. Try wrapping the pipes and make sure you have a good clean rad!
  12. Clements I would like to see what you have done and what you used. Have a 97 xflow and like you would like to have a remove able wheel but keep the original.
  13. That spin was not me. No stripe on the boot and I ended up facing the track. Pretty much the same spot though so guess it was oil on the track and not driver error.
  14. Last year was 20 minutes per hour and very wet.
  15. Just to re-iterate all the other comments, a great evening, good weather and most of the time almost no traffic, got a run of about 10 laps that felt like I was the only car on the track. First foray onto the grass and apologies for relocating the first clearways apex cone. See you in September for the GP day.
