  1. Update ..... Bloody impossible to drive in square without damaging the bush so have conceded defeat and sent it to Bilstein. Anyone planning to do this I would take JKs advice and send it off straight away to Bilstein. Cheers
  2. That looks useful. I'll try with the vice first and if that doesn't work I'll be off to machinemart.
  3. Thanks JK as I suspected a bit of lube and a brute force seems to be the answer. Post title changed as suggested.
  4. I am just about to replace the lower bush on the front suspension damper. Initially i thought this would be an easy job utilising the 2 sockets and a vice to drift out the old one. This was harder than I expected due to the bush not being a true cylinder but a having a narrower middle than the ends. I am assuming the fitting of the new one is just a reverse of above? However, before I apply brute force to this is there a better / easier . special tool for doing this. As always any top tips would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Smiffy
  5. Hi Alan, I had mine done by CC (and had the RBTB added as well) FWIW my injectors are Green. I have no idea of the flow rate. Not sure if this has helped ! Cheers
  6. I had a similar problem on mine and it turned out to be a bad earth connection. Given the sender is just a resistor that varies with temp then it may be a bit of corrosion on the threads creating a high resistance connection. Give it a good clean and see if that helps - could be a simple as that .... mine was.
  7. On Saturday heading up Brook Lane towards Parkgate.

  9. Spotted you last night 2 cars in front of me queuing for the roundabout. You then headed off to Sainsburys for Fuel .... I headed to the Pub
  10. Saw you heading from Warsash towards Parkgate. I waved and smiled and you swiftly ignored me
  11. Approx 19:00 ..... you were heading up Brookfield Lane towards Park Gate. Nice Hat - good job as it was cold !!
  12. Can't add anything to the above other than say mine is Duratec with the standard CC Map for the stage 2 upgrade to 225 BHP. I run on 98 where available and 95 when not and have never experienced any poor running on the 95.

I think you can still get CR500 though (should you want them) as this debate was running last year ..... a hurried call to CC, after Dunsfold day, confirmed these were still available so I now have a spare set ..... I would not be able to fit the ZZS with out modifications to the cycle wings as the CR500s are a tight fit as it is so problem solved ...... for a bit !!
  14. @ScottR400D - maybe they sent me your Drawing !
  15. Agreed it looks very good. However, maybe it needs more info in the top tips bit of just general description for each stage. For example in the "old" manual when fitting the track rod ends it would give guidance to how many turns you should apply when fitting these to get a basic setup. Maybe this will come in the V1 release ? When I built mine I found the existing manual perfectly OK for the bits it covered.... the tricky bit was those it did not (No info on how to set up the cooling pipework which was solved by an emailed hand drawn diagram from CC )
  16. Over took you on M27 and then you followed me off towards Segensworth ........ Hello
  17. Hi Neil - you kept your Seven quiet ! cheers
  18. Blue with Brooklands .... R *** *GO Hope you missed the rain on the way home !!
  19. Spotted in the town center on the roundabout - I was in the Blue 7 It was a very pleasant drive home from work so hope you had a good Blat as well.
  20. Interesting that CC do not issue these to the club as they are useful bits of info and also would potentially drive up sales as we do the upgrades, not to mention improve safety? I don't know what's been tried in the past but could we not collect these into a members only area (either by our own collection or CC providing ?) Just a thought
  21. I have seen on a few posts (Mainly from John Vine) where Caterham Workshop Notices are referenced - is there a place where these are posted or is it a subscription service. I'd be interested to see what I have missed !
  22. All of the above plus use some washing up liquid in a water solution form to help it slide around and make it easier to move.
  23. Great idea that had also have a library of sensors and default values we should expect from them would be really handy. (for example no point measuring Oil Temp as there is no sensor for it so ignore it ) From my experience I tend to create panels for things I am trying monitor (general environment vs basic engine sensors) then when trying to diagnose a problem create a more focused panel with the more detailed variables
