  1. The captive part is a rivnut, looks to be aluminum. Let me know the thread as i may have a few that I can put in the post to you. Cheers Ian
  2. Hi there For the fuelling you would need to know the injector flow rates, if there are injector dead times set up and the algorithm used, I.e how many milliseconds the numer on the map equates to. So you'll see the fuel map numbers between the examples are quite different, but the ignition is similar... So as abase map to get you going you could use the ignition map if they are all degrees btdc , but you can't use the fuel map without understanding the algorithm used, the injector flow rates and other set up, e.g. Injector dead times etc. As above.....be careful....a lean engine under full load will destroy it self.... cheers Ian
  3. Yes its factory built on an imperial chassis by Caterham, but it was never registered. I bought the car and I put it through the IVA (first time pass) and I registered it in 2014 then I put the Duratec in. I've priced it to hopefully to attract a quick sale. Cheers Ian
  4. Well this time my car really is for sale.....I've put a deposit down on another car.....I've under priced my car to hopefully encourage a quick sale. Advert here: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/caterham/all-models/2014/6583057 If you're interested....let me know..... Cheers Ian
  5. It looks like my plans may be changing in which case I may be selling me dry sump. This is brand new, never fitted and nice and shiny!! I'm looking for £775 or nearest offer...so a straight saving of over £300. This is the identical model that I have inlcuding all the parts shown, sump and pump etc here: https://caterhamparts.co.uk/oil-system/4625-dry-sump-kit-duratec-r500-raceline.html?search_query=dry+sump+duratec&results=10 If you are interested let me know, I should know in the next couple of weeks if it is for sale so I'm gauging interest. But if your interested then who ever expresses their interest first will get first refusal. Cheers Ian
  6. That's reassuring as that is prety much my set up. Cheers Ian
  7. Most of the cars with the 6 speed box run a 3.6 ratio diff. Cheers Ian
  8. 4000 miles with CR500s...... is that Driving Miss Daisy
  9. I got some from SVC, great service. Cheers Ian
  10. Metric chassis will have the chassis number on the side (look for the 2 short diagonals each side in the engine bay), imperial car (look for one long diagonal each side ) will have the chassis number on the pedal box. Cross over year 2007/8 when they went metric, but there are still some later reg cars with an imperial chassis. Cheers Ian
  11. Yes, sounds wrong to me to.....would expect some compression in the springs to keep them seated. Hitting the chassis tube does not sound great either, I know the S3 chassis is close, but I'm sure the dedion is clear of contact from the chassis. Cheers Ian
  12. Good spot...bit of a cut and paste error....
  13. Have a look at then regs and the technical spec in the regs will give you the dampers and springs used in the championship. From memory the r300 cars run 250lb front and rear. Details here, http://uk.caterhamcars.com/sites/default/files/content/2016_caterham_superlight_championship_regulations_-_published_copy.pdfcheers Looks like 250lb was an option. Cheers Ian
  14. Never used the spot meter with my hero4 silver clip: cheers Ian
  15. Hi Simon, if Barkalarr does not take them, I'd be interested. Cheers Ian
  16. Spotted today about 3:45pm. Blue R400 reg R400___ With half-hood on in the wet....passenger looked well wrapped up with hat on...
  17. If access is ok, a lazy riveter is great, done 100s of rivets with mine....
  18. Not the same set up on mine, but I used a vernier to measure. The standard slave concentric slave cylinder, assuming it's the V6 version has about 11mm travel in total if that helps, and if a new clutch, then with wear the fingers will move circa 1-2mm outwards as the friction plate thickness decreases... So with everything bolted up I'd want 2-3mm inward travel remaining on the slave. Hope this makes sense. Cheers Ian
  19. Agreed, looks like a lack of penetration in the weld. Cheers Ian
  20. Double spot..... I saw you too... I waved from my 7, Green Yellow F1 colours Cheers Ian
