  1. Try getting in the car, rather than pushing.......sorry not helpful. On a more serious note, is it heat related? My 5 speed box selector gets a bit stiff when warm.
  2. Just had a look at this, the eu2 engine should run grouped/batched injection, so 1&4 will share the same injector driver and 2&3 will share the other injector driver as far as I can see. If you have a wiring diagram I'll be able to confirm this? i.e There should be the same pulse width for injectors 1 and 4, so if there was a driver failure in the ECU, I'd expect the issue with no 1 to be replicated in no 4...... All things bringing equal I'd have to with the fault with the engine, but I hope that I'm wrong and the new ECU cures the fault...... Meant to ask if there is any smoke form the exhaust, if it was a sticky oil control ring on piston no 1 I'd expect some smoke from the exhaust?
  3. The cat is in the can, honest gov.......!
  4. In the morning arround 9:30 with yellow bonnet strip / noseband. I was the kind SAAB driver that let you past.. Cheers Ian
  5. The whole unit is crica £40, http://www.burtonpower.com/aux-drive-belt-tensioner-duratec-he-i4-yd0159.html Cheaper that good old Caterham.... Cheers Ian
  6. Quick update.... Following on from ChrisC's suggestion (Thank you) I emailed Titan with the serial number and they confirmed it was indead a Titan along with the ramp angles and the preload that it was built with. Cheers Ian
  7. Loctite 5920 Copper RTV Silicone is your friend.....
  8. Hi there The serial number is: 630n323301 cheers Ian
  9. Here is another pic.... I visited Angus and Tessa's site as well. It is a plate diff with the two axles like the ZF. It came off a 2012 R500 when the owner changed from a Ford to BMW Diff. This diff was the orignal factory supplied diff that came with the R500 in 2012. Cheers Ian
  10. Hi there I'm hoping someone can identify my diff, I'm thinking it is a Titan and if so what oil should I use? Thanks Ian
  11. Looks like it needs a good look over. If it's the right bush and it's not deformed there still should not be that much play....then my concusion would be a bent A-Frame ....even if tightened that it a lot of stress to pull it in 8mm.... So I'd double check that it is the right bush and it's condition is OK, if yes then I'd go for a new A-Frame..... Cheers Ian
  12. There is a lot of info here if you want to do it all yourself on this thread, it made 290hp : http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/forum/9/viewthread.php?tid=109801&page=27 Cheers Ian
  13. Hi Yes, it's the multilayer gasket....I think it is the flange at the end of the pipe that has a slight warp..but I'll need to invesigate further.... Cheers Ian
  14. Hi there I just started the Duratec for the first time....however apart from running rich (I still need to sort out the fueling) I have a leak between the manifold and the head..... What sealant should I use (I used the standard metal gasket, but I am not convinced that the manifold flanges are completely flat).....recomendations please? Thanks Ian
  15. Hi there I had a roadsports 120 Kseries (Minister built and sealed) with forged pistons and uprated valve caps that ran in roadsports with the previous owner. My current car had a K-series built by Mcmillan....they were helpful and confirmed the work done on the engine by the previous owner (same spec, but it ran in the super grad class, same as Charles I think). Cheers Ian
  16. I'm sure Millwood at Dursley would do this for you. Cheers Ian
  17. Hi there I thought I'd share the progress made in the K series to Duratec conversion.... Here are a few pics of progress.... How it all began.... Duratec during it's refresh....inlcuded... - New crank and set of bearings (uprated bigs end bearings), new oil pump and polished/matched head Making progress.....will it fit..... Fully home..... Next stage is the final check over and load the base maps onto the ECU and fire it up!! Cheers Ian
  18. More to follow shortly.....
  19. At my last MOT with the 7 I had my laptop and dialed it in at the station to get a pass. Cheers Ian
  20. Hi there interested in 2 clear repeaters if still available? cheers Ian P.S BM sent
  21. Here are my thoughts.... EU2 cams will fit ito EU3 engine....but....the EU3 ECU will still look for the cam signal to run sequential injection....I'm not sure what the ECU does without the cam signal, it may be smart enough to go to grouped injection with the loss of the signal..... Oily may be able to advise, or failing that Z&F should be able to advise, or even to relash the ECU. Cheers Ian
  22. Left foot behind the pedal for me to!
