  5. Marius, there is a level plug on the gearbox, fill up until the oil is running out and in to your sleeve teeth.gif as you try to put the nut back in to it but make sure that your car is on a flat floor.
  6. Why do we like or Sevens ? because they offer pure sensations and trills, so why you cut the wings of your Seven by adding T C or any other system, let her free and you will enjoy her fully, and drive more concentrated. Guys ho never nown enything else than ABS or TC will not have the same reactions and senses than sombody ho is used to a car witch slide now and then.
  7. Is it possible to use a Cossie starter motor for a x/flow, if the flywheel is at the same position ?
  8. Pierre, I am sorry to say to the track days from the L C F is mot much of a deal, because when a car gets in the gravel trap they don't stop the other cars "c'est une organisiation Francaise vous savez" aldo you get a lot of track time because there is no timing or group's formed.
  9. Pierre, replacing the front bearings is straigt forward, clean all the grease out of the hub and you will see there are two points where you can put a driver to hammer them out but make sure the bearing ring comes out straigt this means , put the driver in a frequence left and right. To put a new bearing in, use the old ring as a driver. BTW i whas in Follombray this weekend with the Lotus club France track day, where you there also or whas it to far away from you.
  10. Marius, All Vauxhall and Rover engines from Caterham are fuel injection ( i am not 100 % sure )so there should be no problem with the fuel return however the gauge may be somthing else.
  11. Marius, I hope that you realise that there is an exp. date on those rubber fuel bags.
  12. Red Dot disc with 6 grooves ordernr. XJ1810 are fantastic quality but a bit pricy at 116 £ a pair VAT inc.
  13. Is the ARB from the sholarship uprated front suspension the same as a de dion ARB ?
  14. Craig, i think you mean a five link set up if so talk to Steve Parker his ad is in Low Flying. Tel. 01279 647261
  15. Marius, if you do tape your car, before you send it to the bodyshop degraese thorogly then rough it up with Scoths brite red(3 M)the primer will hold far better on the aluminium.
  16. Richard, This weekend i am in England i have calipers new and sec. hand (Spitfire) make me an offer as i am going to Donnington for the Lotus meeting otherwise the p&p makes it to expencive or call 0032 53 66 17 54 (Belgium)

    Wheel Spacers

Ammo,a general rule with bolds is that: the tread used by the nut must be minimum the same as the dia.
  19. To bleed the brakes easely take an old reservoir cap, drill a hole in it the size of the air gun u use to clean out parts, then put the gun in the hole of the old cover NOT MORE THAN 800gr PRESSURE !!! With this system it only takes about 5 min. to bleed the brakes.
  20. Do not forget to look at the tech. spec. on the Avon website there is all you need to now about the correct rotational fitment.
  21. stopping power depends on pad area, feel on the piston size of the calliper and cooling can be made better by extra grooves in the disc (up to 40)but for a Caterham 21 it would be wise to have some cooling tubes on the caliper. Red Dot makes solid disc's with grooves i think i payed 100 £ for a pair with 6 grooves.
  22. Fast Arnie, sounds verry intresting if they are silver count me in for a set, they would look nice on my Panasport wheels (half way on the Atlantic by now)wink.gif thumbsup.gif

    Ital Axles

Is it not possible that the axle housing is to flexible, Caterham did reinforce the English axle, but if you weld a tube from the top of the axle to a spot as close as possible to the wheels. This on the top, bottom and back would strenghten the housing with not to much extra weight,or go for a five link set up this gives a lot less strain on the axle.
  24. Or try BSR they are at www.bsr-aerotec.com
  25. Kay Tee watch your e-mail idea.gif wink.gif
