  1. Thanks Guys. Good to know it's possible. I'll talk to Polleys and get the pro's and con's. Gary
  2. I've been running AO21 and AO32R's for a while now on my 5 1/2 J minilites. These are 185/70/13 and 185/60/13 respectively. I had assumed that a wider tyre wouldn't suit these wheels and would require a 6J but wondered whether anyone had any experience of say a 205 width tyre on this size wheel. Is the added width cancelled out by reduced effectiveness of the sidewall? Any thoughts / advice appreciated, Gary
  3. What was the name of the company doing the photos on the Sat? Is there a website to view the pics as I didn't look on the day? Great day, thanks to all. Gary
  4. Pete, I started with the 8v Vaux on a 98 ex academy car and have since fitted the 2L 16v Vaux. It drops straight on to the original mounts and I'm running on the original 40's. My brother did all the work as he's the expert and whilst there were a few issues to overcome, the net result is a great car. If it's a serious consideration let me know and I can trawl though my paperwork and let you know what needed to be done. The major issues were the need to replace the rear axle for Ford to take the power, and we decided to fit a dry sump system due to oil pick up problems. The latter added to the cost, the former was a net gain as I sold the Ital for a lot more than the Ford one cost me. Gary
  5. I've got the Ford axle in mine having upgraded the motor from Vx 8v to the 2l XE and am looking for a solution to the weakest link 'A' Frame Bush issues. Simon mentions "Very neat and simple pan hard rod set up and should work as good or possibly better than the std A frame us mortals are used to!". Can anyone expand on this please? thanks Gary

  8. Speaking to my brother this week and he's selling his Mk1 Escort which he used to use in trials. He's going to get rid of a couple of 1600 X-flows at the same time. I thought I might just see if there is still a market for them on Blatchat. So would it be worth advertising them or do all X-flows get replaced with Zetecs and Duratecs these days? What is a reasonable price? thanks Gary
  9. Standard Exhaust Silencer from Ex Academy car (Vx 1999), with polished guard. Has done 12k Pictures via e-mail on request. £40 - and buyer collects please.
  10. Thanks Barry. Do you mind if I ask the costs involved? Was it an of the shelf item or did they have to make it themselves? Gary
