  2. John E, You can also try Tony Thompson Racing even for a magnesium bellhousing. WWW.tonythompsonracing.co.uk
  3. Chris, The drums are 8" but if the ali drums are 9" i would not mind to replace them for 9". Locking rear wheels are not a problem because i have a Willwood pedalbox on my Seven so that i can adjust them all the time while running.
  4. You also need to modify the bellhousing/gearbox bolds. The bolds need to be fixed from the gearbox side, with this system the bellhousing stays attach to the engine.
  5. Chris, If they have them for a Ford axle i am very intrested in a set. BTW do you know where i can get new back plates for the drums ( RS 2000 axle )
  6. cskip, I made a back half in ali that rest on the lowest edge of the horizontal member. Since i made it in one piece i have to admit to the second attempt whas satisfying on not that easy to mount if you make it in one piece.
  7. AMMO, horsepower is one thing but you should also compaire the torque graf. between the two engines. If you want a 0-60 time of 4.9 get a g.box with long 1st gear or put the car on a diet.
  8. Ade Ray, The smallest heater i know of comes from Holden. It is 275mm wide, 115mm tall and 200mm deep, 12v operation with 13mm stubs. Part nr: 080.512 Price : £99.00 + VAT tel: 01885 488 488
  9. Sam, To loosen the central nut, first thake a flat piece of iron (+/- 5mm thick and 1m long ) drill two holes in it ( the same distance as the propshaft holes ) bold this to the flange and it will be a piece of cake to loosen the nut.
  10. Jimmy, You want the exhaust to pop & crackle ? put a X flow in it. biggrin.gif
  11. Chelspeed, The 120 ltr/hr is 42£ and they stock them. The 155 ltr/hr is not available any more. There is no manufacturing adres or web adres on the box but if you need one i can send one over to you.
  12. Pierre, I am not happy with DT, having ordered springs for my suspension, the front one's where to short and the rear one's where to long. They said to me compress the long one's and put a washer under the short one's end of discussion. mad.gif D.Faulkner springs then made the correct one's for me.
  13. shaunsl, Try Steve Parker at 01279 647261 he is very helpful and not expencive.
  14. AMMO, IMHO the steering rack with the steel body is std spec. and silver ( ali. body ) is 22% and i think that black is 8% but i am not sure.
  15. Chelspeed, First of all i live in Belgium and they stock the 120 ltr/h. where i go for the odd part. I will try to find there web adres.
  16. Steve, Your g'box is in the car and i promised to be at Stoneleigh in 2002 with my car.( hope to get it finished by then ) Elie.
  17. Huco fuel pumps are a good alternative for Facet pumps. pumprate is 120 ltr/hour or 155 ltr/hour for the heavy duty pump and both work at 0.3 bar. connection is puch on price for the 120 ltr pump is +/- 45£ the price for the heavy duty pump wil follow next week as i ordered one for myself. also they make hardly any noise.

clik, when your tyre explode it was a tad to much. cool.gif
  19. Aves, the best paint for a garage floor is epoxy but it is expencive. It wont wear, even the wheels of a hydraulic jack will not wear the epoxy paint. Only negative point is that it may get a bit slippery when wet if you have a leather sole on your shoes. The price is about 80£ for 5 litres and for a single garage you whould need about 3 litres. Other option is that you come and get some for free ! Meanwhile you could hamster chocolats and beer over here and that is in Belgium ofcourse. biggrin.gif
  20. Chris, IMHO 12.7 stands for max thickness for the disc Pads 16mm is also max thickness for the pads. Even if your disc is 9.6 the steel pins will still support the pads, i do not think there is a problem. The difference is 1.5mm on one side, if this would cause problems for the pads on 9.6mm disc's you would have the same problems with 12.7 disc's. I think that the pad code is MDB1200. Elie.
  21. Pierre, A Vauxhall Lotus is next on my wishing list but first i have to finish my Seven ( 3 year build blush.gif )
  22. Pierre, I have about 60 fluoresent tubes in my garage and that is 220m² good for 7 cars [:D ] with this lighting night turn in to day.
  23. Simos, 600 kg this must be a joke, i hope to see less than 480 kg. Only the engine is cast iron all the rest is ali. and no de-dion but a live axle.
  24. Simos, What chassis do you have and how much BHP ? some pic. ?
  25. Midas Metalcraft website: WWW.warlock.co.uk/midas They deliver great quality for a very good price.
