Brent, I did this to a Pinto engine but did forget that the Kent has a different drive for the oil pump. blush.gif

There are products to degrease your engine or anything else. Just apply with a brush and hose with water, the product will become like milk (but will taste different)blow dry with an airgun and you get a clean engine. Sorry that i can't read the name on the can anymore.

Put some pressure on the reservoir 0.8 bar,to do this thake an old reservoir cover, drill a little hole in it and put a airgun in the hole.It is a two man job but very easy to bleed the system this way.

You can take the dizzy out and with a old butchered dizzy axle and a drill you can prime the system.

Jonathan,The torque load on a live axle goes from the top link to the lower link. With an A frame this means, from the wheel all the way to the center of the diff. With a five link set up it goes from the top link to the lower link underneath, this is only half the diameter of the axle and so you have more controll in its mouvement. If you have the book from Dennis Ortenburger ( the legend of the Seven )there is a pic. ho explains it all.

Luke, what is the nr on the Magnetti Marelli and whould it fit a Kent engine,i am looking for a lighter alternative than the Bosch lump.

PACR, 6" RS wheels do fit at the rear on a MK2 even if it is 2" lower but i do not know the offset from those wheels.Measured from the drum to the edge of the wheel is 7cm.I think they also fit on a MK1.

Blow with the air blow gun from your compressor first in the trumpet and then where the hose is conected, it worked for me but at 80 psi it makes a hell of a noise.

Another factor with polishing ali. is temperature, the hotter it gets the easy'er you can polish the ali. cool.gif

If i polish ali. i degrease it first with thinner for paint and then start to polish.The key is to work with a clean rag all the time because when your rag gets black it has no effect any more or get a beer and see how the family is polishing. wink.gif

Having driven with both systems of CR steering wheel (hexagon head or splines)i still prefer a fixed steering wheel because there is no play and gives more feel with the car.

Chris,Minilite claimed that there design gave max cooling for the brakes and still had a strong wheel.

My panasport wheels did arrive today after 7 MONTHS waiting they are indeed great but most of all light 7"x13" =5.2 kg On the inside is marked offset 16.

I mounted the Alcon brakes on a friends car with grooved disc's and they perform perfect and they are half of the weight compaired to AP brakes.

Ian, Grooves:the main advantages are improved brake fade characteristics improved de-glazing and higher working temperatures.The more grooves the higher the working temp. Grooves are better than drill holes in a disc because holes do not de-glaze the pads.

Warren, You can even take any colour you like, just go to a paint matcher and he will make the same colour as your example but make sure you got the mixing formule for your colour.

Arnie, Rally Design has longer wheel studs one is 1/2" longer and the others are 1" longer both at £0.80

A rev limiter combined with the competition ignition is not a good idea but you better ask R.k. about it.

I think that Sierra Cosworth studs are longer than 35 mm but i am not 100% sure.
