  1. Been following the thread after buying some 888's. Can you just confirm that if the temperature raises that one should then reduce the pressure? Gather the 16/14 is at cold. I am doing Croft on Sunday and any helpon tyre pressures welcomed. RiF Driving one of the first Duratec 7, and building CA07BON for Henrietta 😬 😬 😬.for pictures of 7 and carbon andCA07BON
  2. Thanks Ian, Been away since last Wednesday. Visited Raceline and was told that my principal for the rears is fine and the front is 40 to 45lb/ft. Lets hope as the next day out is a track day. 3. Short handle to socket say 6", angle of pull poor so perhaps 35 Surely someone else has had the rear discs off????? What do you do? And torque for front discs?????? RiF Driving one of the first Duratec 7, and building CA07BON for Henrietta 😬 😬 😬.for pictures of 7 and carbon andCA07BON
  4. What is the torque setting for the uprated brake calipers which you have to remove to service the brakes (get pin out)? Also how do you get anything in to torque the rear caliper? There does not seem to be enough room either to get wrench in or socket and wrench in????? Is a firm pull on a socket wrench about 35 lb/ft? 7. Wow 😬 a lot of interest. Several e-mails off line too 😬 Looking around and speaking to the trade it seems to be worth £5000. For an easy sale I would sell her complete with flail and any spares etc for that amount. It is a really nice condition unit. I looked at some for £4000 that had bald tyres, rusty paintwork and around the clocks. This is 100% genuine. I have some pictures if anyone wants, let me know. PS Sorry carbon free version!!!! 8. Kubota Compact tractor. One very careful owner from new 😬 Takes standard impliments from full size tractors. Similar to the type councils use. 24hp, high, medium and low gears, 3 gears and reverse in each range. 2 or 4 wheel drive, PTO rear and centre, 500 hours, grass tyres with 95% tread and original. Can include a 5' flail cutter if required. Really excellent condition, selling as garden too small nowadays. Classed as one of the "reliable go on for ever versions" as built to be robust unlike some of the newer models (so a dealer said anyway ) Model B2150 For further details call 013873 75777 or e-mail easiclad@tiscali.co.uk RiF Driving one of the first Duratec 7, and building CA07BON for Henrietta 😬 😬 😬.for pictures of 7 and carbon andCA07BON

    threads into sump

Thanks everyone. No surface to butt to, it is just a threaded sort of bolt that goes into the sump as far as you can tighten in. Into this I had a the temp sender inserted. Both have been fine with PTFE tape for say 5000miles but all of a sudden started to leak. I will just re do it with PTFE again, just a pain to take all the oil out again!!! threads into sump

Have a slight oil leak that started after changing the oil on a threaded insert into my sump. Into this I added the oil temp sender. I think the leak is the main insert? Question, should I use PTFE tape on it when I put it back in or something else? Carbon Nose/Wings

More is the question "where can you get them" nowadays. Your current choice is CC but carbon finish looks terrible (made to a price) or Mog who do them but I understand it is only the outer layer in carbon so are quite a bit heavier than CC. We are running cycle wings at a prototype stage but won't have rear or nose for a while. S0 second hand is your best solution RiF Driving one of the first Duratec 7, and building CA07BON for Henrietta 😬 😬 😬.for pictures of 7 and carbon andCA07BON Edited by - RiF on 1 Jul 2007 13:40:27

  16. A friend has asked me torecommend a way of bringing his Bentley (knackered one) vinyl roof (hard top version) bacak to life. Faded and well weathered!!!! Any ideas??? RiF Driving one of the first Duratec 7, and building CA07BON for Henrietta 😬 😬 😬.for pictures of 7 and carbon andCA07BON
  17. Stu, Does not work, we tried with scoops and fans in the tunnel and exiting at the rear of the tunnel top up the back panel. Some comes out but not enough RiF Driving one of the first Duratec 7, and building CA07BON for Henrietta 😬 😬 😬.for pictures of 7 and carbon andCA07BON
  18. Around the gear stick and handbrake by changing the material RiF Driving one of the first Duratec 7, and building CA07BON for Henrietta 😬 😬 😬.for pictures of 7 and carbon andCA07BON
  19. Quote: MSA wont allow the hole in the tranny tunnel / gear stick area though as it comprimises the firewall between driver and engine. Surely you have a hole for the gear stick???? Our solution is change of materal from a soft vinyl plastic gaiter to a special nylon type. Masses of heat comes out. 21. I am just looking at having some made so would be very interested in quantity prices with quick release. I am just at quote stage. If lighter then that is a plus. 22. After a huge amount of R&D we have found all the air in the tunnel is trapped and cannot be ducted out. Vents etc further forward don't solve it. The only solution is to let it out of the tunnel top. We have drastically reduced the footwell temperature even in 40 degrees. X330 front wings

One big problem with the CSR wings is the length down the back! Lots of reports re lack of stone protection.
