  1. A genuine 675bhp per tonne Alaskossie........enough to run 10.13 @ 136 mph in the quarter mile. Hi Keith - we won't let these minor problems stop our quest Home of BDR700
  2. Hi Julian, My gundrilled half shafts came from Elite - they'll organise this for you if you wish. I never had a problem with them and they improved on the standard Quaife design at the same time. They didn't make the l'weight alloy rear hubs though which the bike discs are fitted to. Aaron at HT arranged that although he didn't do the work himself. Note that my axle was converted to Group 4 half shafts which are much stronger and lighter than a de dion. I recall Mike Chitty running a 400bhp Escort Thundersaloon with this axle arrangement years ago without any problems so it would be virtually indestructible in a 7. Elite also made me a l'weight steel spool which saved a huge chunk of weight over the standard Tran x diff.....just in case you run out of ideas just to get it under 350kgs ❗ Yoiu can also get magnesium diff noses which would be fine with bike torque. 3. I agree Julian, as it was only by taking this approach that I manged to build the lightest non bike engine Caterham. The lightest BEC will never be de-dion Home of BDR700
  4. My Hart420R powered Caterham was 415kgs in its lightest form. The new owner's put a Hayabusa in it so it will be interesting to see who's got the lightest Caterham in the World Home of BDR700
  5. My Bilsteins came with rose joints Chris. They are not standard Caterham ones.
  6. I have my original bilstein dampers and springs (all rose jointed) as originally fitted to BDR700 if you're interested. They have adjustable seats and come with a set of springs but are are not adjustable bump and rebound. They sound like they'd be ideal for your application. Give me a ring on 07825 122961 if you're interested in discussing further. Best regards David Home of BDR700

  13. Latest spec 6 speed Elite sequential including £380 strain guage in lever allowing powershift and geartronics gear indicator costing £170. £2k the lot This box is in full working order and incorporates all the latest Elite modifications. At the recent fastest caterham event it wouldn't allow me to powershift from 1st to 2nd gear only (Normal gear change from 1st to 2nd was fine) and all other gear changes were fine by powershift. This has subsequently been addressed by increasing the ignition cut for this change only. The reason for this is that the same ignition cut map on my Motec ECU was used from my old 5 speed Elite sequential which had less rev drop between 1st to 2nd gear and also used 4 dog gears as opposed to 5 dog gears on the 6 speed. david.edmands@virgin.net 07825 122961 SOLD Home of BDR700 Edited by - edmandsd on 8 Aug 2007 22:23:49
