  1. If that was my intention to take your sale then yes, it would’ve been massively dickish. It wasn’t. Apologies for upsetting you Graeme. When I get around to it, as above, I’ll research selling my Titans to race teams. Happy to share the info with you if you wish.
  2. The testers are typically pleased to be inspecting something more interesting that the trucks they usually test, so are happy to chat and will be keen for you to pass.
  3. A variety of things…. partially as my tester was in turn being tested by someone from head office so was super-diligent and mis-applied some of the regulations (and to be fair, we had subsequent emails and conversations where I quoted particular passages so he conceded it got it wrong) but mainly brakes (rears locked first, hence the suggestion that you take the long way to the test), headlight alignment (would’ve let me adjust if the brakes hadn’t been the kicker; as they did at the retest!) and a lack of covers for bonnet latches (I sent the car to its PBC as it would be presented at its IVA and Caterham didn’t send them back. Car arrived back a5:30pm; IVA was 8am the next day!) Caterham sent me some 1144 pads and I drove for at least an hour to the retest (which I was able to book within a week of the first test) braking regularly until I got the tyres at the front to squeal! Retest covered only the failure points - so the paperwork took longer. I was then able to take everything to the local DVLA office (they existed in 2013!) to make sure everything, included the retention certificate for a vanity plate, was all OK. I went in holiday the next day for a week and the V5 was amongst the post when we got home. Get the feeling timescales aren’t so good these days… 🤷🏻‍♂️
  4. If anyone wants two more (don’t ask how I have them…) I can help…! @Doc007, advice from Steve Perks is that there are racing teams that need these units in a regular basis, so that might be a more effective disposal route (not that I’ve got around to researching which teams or where to advertise…!)
  5. Yes - ask me how I know…. (don’t trust Caterham’s PBC to be particularly thorough and take a very circuitous route to your test centre to get the brakes bedded-in) Yes - you can insure on the chassis number.
  6. If the speedo “sweeps” when ignition is turned out, I’d assume it’s a recent car, so has a rear wheel hall sensor. Beyond that, I can’t add much other than the equivalent of “turn it off and on again” - disconnect battery and/connectors and try again.
  7. recommendation for a pressurised system here… (I use an EeziBleed)
  8. The irony is that I tour abroad every year with a bunch known as Le BOG Club…. so your typo wasn’t necessarily inappropriate!
  9. TADTS… 🤷🏻‍♂️ You might not need to replace; I was able to re-glue the split casing in mine with a bit of superglue.
  10. That would be my suggestion too - seal and stick…
  11. guess the temperature of the pan is similar to that of the small amount of oil adjacent to the plug… 🤷🏻‍♂️
  12. that’s where I put the sender for my oil temperature gauge (details in an old thread on here somewhere!) but that’s for a wet sump…
  13. Are you in the various 911 faceache groups? There’re often folks there after cars, especially those with Spanish gearboxes… Whilst not a 991, here’re my pair: Good luck with your sale. What’s next for you?
  14. Minty is a top bloke… he once delivered some bits to a nearby workshop where my car and I were *before* I even realised I’d need the parts!
  15. Love your attention to detail - even to the extent of your masking tape matching your car’s colour!
  16. They’re yours…. I’ll drop you a message.
  17. more pictures as would’ve maxed out!

  19. It was covered in a past Low Flying…. might be in the archive.
  20. I had this late last year. I got a replacement gasket from Burton. Fitment as you say, is easy. I also tightened/torqued it down as per this: I haven’t driven it much since, so can’t comment on its efficacy…

    420R coolant

Coolant is available is both concentrated (ie needs diluting) or ready to use (so doesn’t); as far as I know they will be equally effective. Think there are discussions elsewhere regarding the benefits of orange/red and blue coolants… 😳 (the only silly questions are the ones you don’t ask!)
  22. According to Caterham, you only need a grommet on the inside wing - was always thus (well, since 2013 when I built my car). As above, many of us disagree and add another one (or an equivalent) to the rear wing too.
