  1. Daft questions are the ones you don’t ask!
  2. Advice is to squeeze… I didn’t - just put it on the end of the selector and offered them up into place as a sub-assembly and then did up the three bolts. Think they’re all made by Steve. 🤔
  3. Excellent - many thanks. My issue was that I look at BlatChat as an app, rather than in a browser, and couldn’t work out how to do what has been suggested from there!
  4. Should be OK then - weights should be able to go wherever… as above, it’s on 8” wheels that the weights can foul the DingDiog ears.
  5. Advice used to be apply for an IVA test ASAP - but that was 11 years ago. Personally, I wanted to take my car to the IVA - it’s all part of the “build journey” and saved £450 (?) by Caterham not presenting it!
  6. I’ve just fitted a bronze one supplied by Steve Perks at SPC (he of TracSport frame). Fitted perfectly.
  7. How did @Jonathan Kay insert the second quote that links to another thread…?
  8. Would doubt that’s a Caterham part, looks too tall... is it a RiF product?

    Calliper paint

I painted my rear callipers with this stuff to match my front HiSpecs (and the brakes on the 911!)
  10. I didn’t crimp mine…. I put the saddle on the shifter and offered the assembly up and dropped it into place. I also didn’t grease the saddle (in retrospect I should’ve but I did spray a bit of GT85 PTFE lube on the various bits so hope will be slippery enough). The brass bush has the same lumps and bumps as the plastic one and other than its material is indistinguishable (to me 🤷🏻‍♂️)
  11. I fitted the Quaife quickshift unit over winter together with a bronze saddle bush (and the bellows as detailed in the Tech Guide mentioned by the OP). I got the bush from Steve Perks (he of TracSport fame) who I believe manufactures them. All went together splendidly (though as a new unit, I didn’t dismantle the shifter!)
  12. I knew John made them so found the picture in his website… not sure if they have been discussed here!
  13. There are these Quadlock mounts from @graearea as well of course…
  14. I got a bracket from eBay and then heavily modded part of it to take a Quadlock wireless charging mount low enough not to foul my tonneau.
  15. Sorry Mike, this is something he told me about face-to-face rather than something detailed in here.
  16. @Stuart7 designed and built something similar last year (assuming I’ve understood what you have in mind and he did!)
  17. Have a linky on me…
  18. Pretty sure Premier Power used a Modine unit. I can’t imagine it’s difficult to fit, though mine was done by that nice Mr Cresswell! It looks to site under the oil filter (so filter off, heat exchanger on, filter back on?) and then some diversion of the cooling system to go via it…. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  19. I have one of these which I got from Amazon: “Gold Plug AP-22 Magnetic Sump Plug Oil Drain Bolt” @Jonathan Kay guess part number is AP-22 Editted to add, just realised Jonathon was asking Graeme what he bought! 🤦🏻‍♂️
  20. and that you used Loctite rather than Araldite to keep the ring in place…
  21. I had exactly the same Andreas - the ring isn’t rigidly fixed. I “moved” mine back (some precision tapping with a hammer/screwdriver) and then used epoxy adhesive to hold it in place. It has been fine since. That said, it was whilst my diff was being worked on, so the driveshaft was on the bench and everything easily accessible. I don’t know how easy it would be with the driveshaft in situ. 🤷🏼‍♂️
