I've tie wrapped my float to the arm. If they come off, fishing them out from the tank is a PITA.

It's strange that for a car with "added lightness" we're all carrying around a dead 6Ltrs ( 6Kgs ) of fuel, that could be fairly easily removed by re-profiling the bottom of the tank.

With dual master cylinders, the brake peddle effort required will double to get the same breaking pressure. Unless you go for a lot smaller mc diameters.

My daughter's old Mk1 MX5 has just failed it's MOT. Mostly rust on external body parts. She bought it through Blatchat and it's been a great car for her for the past 6-7 years. Now looking for a replacement. Ideally, a newer MX5, though any small car considered. Budget around £ 4 - 6K. Needed in the next couple of weeks. Anyone have anything suitable? Thanks, Clive.

DTs don't know when they'll get a delivery. Ordered a pair from www.tyreleader.co.uk on 12th May. ( £ 110 ea ). Coming from Germany. Not arrived yet. Clive.

I have an Oxted motorcycle helmet bag ( the type that fix to the tank ). This attaches to the ROB on the near side, where it doesn't effect rear visibility, so I always have the option of sticking the lid on if I feel the need. This weather, it's just a pair of ballistic googles and a baseball hat ( attached to the seat with a lanyard )
