  7. Simon, Thanks - Have you fitted it yet? I'm thinking of fitting one (k series eu2) but I've no experience of this sort of thing so I'm not sure what difficulties I would encounter Chris Edited by - Chris Norman on 13 Jan 2009 23:45:24

  16. Hi Steyning, Sounds similar to the setup I had on my 7 (1.8 K series) , except I have standard wet sump. I got the oil pressure light on the dash to work by including a low oil pressure switch , which I mounted into one of the blanked off fittings in the oil filter housing (after removing the threaded blanking plug), to this switch I connected the black/yellow wire. I assume that upon loss of oil pressure the switch grounds the black/yellow wire and the light on the dash comes on. I pretty sure the wire from the VDU sender unit only goes to the oil pressure dial and is not used for the low oil pressure warning light. I purchased the low oil pressure switch from Think Automotive. Not sure how this would work with a dry sump setup. Cheers Chris Edited by - Chris Norman on 7 Aug 2008 08:54:37

  18. Hi Stu, This TB was off my car, I kept your inlet manifold and TB together seemed a shame to part them 😬 Engine was upgraded from 1400ss to 1800 ss over the winter very pleased indeed - good info on your site. Chris
  19. Hi Malcolm, I have a 56mm TB with stepper motor, it's with a friend at the moment but I could get it back. Let me know Thanks Chris
  20. Hi Gary, 1st dibs please. Thanks Chris
  21. Hi Tim, I am just getting to the end of my 1400ss to 1800ss conversion. I used the 1800 oil filter housing as my 1400 appeared to have a hairline crack in it. I have a mechanical oil pressure gauge which I connected to the position that currently houses the electrical switch in your photo. On top of the oil filter housing there is a grub screw, I removed this and fitted the oil pressure warning light switch. I have retained the big 1400 alternator and all seems to fit OK. I could mail over some photos if you would like to see the finished article. Chris
  22. Hi Nev, Big for Autac from Macclesfield, very helpful - I did something similar and have indicators (catflash), horn and electric line lock (handbrake) on the removable steering wheel. I ran my wiring through relays to limit the current drawn, and attached the ends of the cable through RJ45 connectors - a little tight but it works. I used a small piece of velcro to keep the cable tight to the wheel so the cable is not put under too much starin. Chris
  23. Hi Bob, If they have not already gone, please can I take one. Thanks Chris
