  1. Hi Anthonym, Titan had the pump and declared it beyond economic repair. I have used then previously and they have always been very good to deal with. Thanks
  2. Hi Simon, thanks, I just need the pump so reluctant to double up on all the other pieces.
  3. Hi Tom, Titan have looked at the pump and have said it's only fit for the bin. Replacement is going to be hard to find so thinking Pace is the way to go.
  4. Following my posting for a replacement gold pump it seems these are as rare as rocking horse.... My second option would be to replace with a Pace setup - does any one have a setup they would be willing to sell? Thank you
  5. Following issues with my engine I need to replace the gold scavenge pump. I know this is a long shot but if anyone knows of one or has one for sale I would most grateful. Thank you Chris
  6. Hi Revilla, RJ Thanks I will double check the ECU supply and earth. I cannot see anything obvious in the Emerald software that I should have altered. No cam sensor but not configured for sequential. I will have a look around to see if there is any adjustment for the coils. Thank you
  7. After listening to all the advice, thanks to all who contributed, I obtained an EU3 cam cover, rover coil packs and HT leads from a fellow caterham owner and converted from EU2 to wasted spark with the EU3 cover and twin coil packs. Distributor, single coil and HT leads removed. EU3 cam cover fitted along with the rover coil packs. An additional coil driver was pinned from the (early) Emerald ECU. The coil packs share a power feed. The Emerald ECU config was changed as per Oily's instructions. Spark plugs where BCPR7ES so haven't been changed. The engine runs well once it has been started, but, it's the starting which is now an issue. Engine turns over and does not fire until the third or fourth attempt, often there is a loud backfire as (I'm guessing) unburnt fuel catches in the exhaust! So what have I done wrong, something to do with with the setup whilst the engine is cranking? As I say the engine runs well once it catches. K series 1.8k. Supersport cams. QED throttle bodies. Emerald ECU (early version). Any/all advice welcomed Thank you Chris
  8. Thank you Revilla and Dave. So EU3 cam cover from ebay (!!) plus coil packs that fit in the cam cover - better packaging and will keep the water out. Excellent
  9. Thanks all this very helpful! Converting to EU3 requires replacement cam cover but a "stand alone" coil pack would work with the current cover, so I think I will look to a standalone coil pack (Dave - hear what you are saying about water ingress though). Question is which standalone coil pack?
  10. Thanks, seems like a sensible way to go. From what I can see I need the two coils packs and two additional HT leads which sit in place of the current HT leads. Delete distributor and single coil. New coil packs then take signals from ECU. Other than any reconfiguration with the Emerald is it that straight forward? Advice gratefully received. Thank you*thumbup*
  11. Currently have EU2 with distributor and single coil. Any benefits in moving to a wasted spark setup? ECU is early Emerald. Thank you
  12. I ran a set up from Think which included a sandwich plate with mechanical oil temperature and pressure gauge. I can take some photos if you want as the bits are off the car as moving to digital dash with solid state senders. Thanks Chris
  13. Hi Trevor, Yes Ian and I on the way to see Dave. Weather was terrible but the journey very worthwhile. Really pleased with my car and Dave is a fascinating bloke to chat to, a most excellent day. 😶‍🌫️ Thanks for the spotted
  14. Hi, could well have been me, on my way out for an afternoon's blat. Thanks Chris
