Flaps - out of interest did they specifically test for the fog light with main beam scenario, or was it just unlucky? - when I had mine MOT'd couple of weeks ago, the examiner was at the front to check forward facing lights then went round the back to check the rear lights and fog lights with main beam wasn't a scenario that was checked....

Can't help with the rattle, but I believe it is quite normal for brake pads to rub a bit, it's to do with the fact there isn't a mechanism for the pads to retract after applied other than the disc spinning

So is it a good idea and easy to swap out the rigid lines for flexible ones?

😬 I think she was more interested in catching the number plate (which she was proper impressed with!) Gavin at Cross Street Garage down by the big Tesco's is a sensible MOT man - he had another 7 booked in later that day too, and he does all the local RS Owners club cars etc

Today at lunchtime, London road, Devizes passing Police HQ, SWMBO spotted a silver and orange 7 with a special BLAT number plate (surely the only one in the country with that colour scheme ) BUT she says it looked like a youngster driving it and didn't think it was you Paul...

But bear in mind that the original post was a year ago, so they may have sourced an exhaust since then....

Jonathan, with that draper reservoir, can you see how much fluid is in it? traditionally it would have been a glass jam jar (!) so easy to see.... Thanks

Managed to change one side before ran out of light. Thought I'd be clever and gaffer tape the lock nut in place having loosened it off exactly one turn... Doh stupid boy... however I counted everything and even photo'd it to make sure I could get it all back in the right place I'll do the other side tomorrow, not split but showing signs of cracking around the tie wrap...
