    If you are going to change the oil then before hibernation is the time to do it. The main issue with oil is becoming contaminated with combustion products so best to get rid of these before the engine stands idle for some time. If you want to be really careful then warm up the old oil, drain, refill and circulate oil on the starter without starting the engine. This may, however, all be a bit OTT if your oil is not very old to start with.

    Perhaps try clamping the lower column in a vice (soft jaws if possible) using the flat on it and use the steering wheel on the upper to try and turn. If you need to resort to hitting things use a copper hammer if you can (or at least something soft between the hammer and column)

    If the tester is saying 18 mm for the front then surely they must be vented

    The number will presumably be in the form "AM YY NNN" i.e Arch Motors, year of manufacture, serial no. for that year

    The diagram on it says it is a changeover relay with a diode across the coil. This is a similar one on Halfords (not same number though) Halfords HEF559 Relay 12V 40A 5 PIN | Halfords UK The suggested applications are listed as: Electric sunroof / Dashboards / ECU / Automatic transmission / Petrol pump Central locking / Anti-lock brakes / Air conditioning / Circuit boards How many of those do you have?

    Halfords have quite a range of replacement mirror glass. Might be worth making a paper template and taking it in to compare. All seem to be in the £7 to £9 range (pre club discount)

    I think the nose of a Lotus was longer than a Caterham one and so the Lotus bonnet should be shorter than a Caterham one. Another member (from Spain) had a similar problem of no reply from Arch. Turned out his email went in to spam

    There certainly was a downdraft Xflow engined Caterham available. I can't find a picture of the bonnet. A Lotus S3 below

    This arrangement? If this is what you already have then I can only suggest you try and get an extension for the gear lever made
