  1. So.... good progress tonight but now looking for insights (HELP) into the method/technique to disconnect the fuel line fixing from the fuel pump. Like you David, I settled on leaving the boot floor in a position good enough to provide access to the pump. As pictures speak a thousand words here's a couple; Chris
  2. Thank you Gents, Sounds like I just need to man up and give it a go. Appreciate the various pointers and hints. In regards to why I'm replacing it - the plastic tube collar that attaches the lid to the main lower body has cracked, hence the spring is not retained, subsequently the lower part is presently only held on by the wires and fuel line. End result being a super unreliable fuel gauge. Having recovered from checking out the price of a new unit via CC, I found a used one for £30 on eBay. I'll let you know how I get on. Many thanks Chris
  3. Hoping for assistance.... ideally a visual guide on how to remove the boot floor? Im faced with having to change the fuel pump, and having done an initial check I don't think it's possible to do so without removing the boot floor completely - and I'd like to avoid having to remove the roll bar (FIA) fitted to my 2010 R300D. With thanks Chris
  4. Having giving this topic some thought, and as previously shared on a separate thread ref Engine Bay Temperature Cooling. I have a vision of the NACA Duct fitted to the 485 Caterham model, being fitted the wrong way round on the driver side with ducting leading to the footwell box - in theory this would suck air out from the footwell.
  5. DM sent with mobile number for WhatsApp Group Just need a name for it now........ BedsBlatting :O
  6. Hi Dan and Malc, I'm interested - am just over the border in Cambridgeshire (Gamlingay). Chris
  7. Hi Rob, Ive got a spare rear view mirror from my 2010 R300, is that of interest? I could bring it along to the Caterham Open Day on Sunday if you are going? Chris
  8. Hear, hear!! A great turn out for a great day - with a fantastic lack of the expected rain :)
  9. Thank you Tazio I wasn't aware of that, is it OK to say "or nearest offer" ? £500 ono Perhaps an opportunity to question the long established Rule or start a "Offers" only section of marketplace. As a tongue in cheek comment - are there any rules about the use of exclamation marks! :D Chris
  10. Open to offers. Feel free to DM if you prefer. Chris
  11. Anyone interested in this too cool R400TOO registration? R400TOO Chris
  12. Hi Andy, Re Momo pad - I know Joe of Krossstitch UK can help you out. On the left rear wing, I'm about to replace mine hence will have a used one for you - coming off a 2010 R300D. Let me know if of interest. Chris
  13. Thank you Neil Looking forward to getting these fitted. Plan is to get them and other bits sorted before the Caterham Open Day on the 30th Chris
  14. Hi Gav, The thread from January "MOTAMEC MIRRORS" has some good input for you. https://www.lotus7.club/search/site/Motamec%20mirrors Hopefully that link will work. Chris
  15. Sounds like you are fully covered Marvin. Well hope so, as was planning on coming over to Bedford in the afternoon, but for a passenger ride and not to be your mechanic :D Chris
  16. #Reply to 23 Andrew, I'll gladly take that title at the age of 44 Chris
  17. Personally I'd recommend "Kroops" Goggles, as Ive figured driving a Caterham without doors or screen is pretty much akin to sky diving or horse racing. Chris
  18. Hi Alan, I now see where you are coming from, LOL. In fairness they are not that little any more, being 9, 11 and 12 - and I just happen to be turning 44 this week. Which makes me wonder - what the average age of L7C membership is. Chris
  19. Reply to #17 Hi Tazio, Yes, appreciate it may be deemed "Over The Top". My main reasoning for making the half doors "moveable" was to assist my children getting in and out with ease. I had initially started with a design where the doors would hinge open as per the standard full doors. Then someone suggested they could be like "lambo doors" - and I like a challenge :D Chris
  20. Thank you Mrp. I'm presently spraying up the white 3D printed parts, in readiness to add to the car for first trackday on 26th April @ Bedford. If any L7C members want to emulate this design then I'm more than happy to share the 3D CAD files that I designed, plus a parts list ie nuts and bolts. The only other two main parts are the doors - I got mine from Steve at YC Plastics (steve@ycplastics.co.uk), he's recently done a new batch of black half doors. And the 2x hinges are basic trestle table / paste board hinges, two example sources being; Ironmongery Direct - Product Code: 526817 https://www.ironmongerydirect.co.uk/product/paste-board-hinge-240mm-length-bright-zinc-plated-pair-526817?vat=1&pr=1&infinity=ict2~net~gaw~ar~387181515352~kw~~mt~~cmp~Smart%20Shopping%20%3E%20High%20Volume%20Products~ag~Ad%20group&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIpdDuhKb47wIVle3tCh2UuQHMEAQYASABEgLeOvD_BwE eBay - eg item number: 264317196757 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264317196757?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&itemid=264317196757&targetid=1140163973449&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=1006609&poi=&campaignid=12125451065&mkgroupid=120711382790&rlsatarget=pla-1140163973449&abcId=9300480&merchantid=6995734&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIpdDuhKb47wIVle3tCh2UuQHMEAQYDyABEgL3-_D_BwE Chris
  21. Hi Alan, Its a "Brodit" adjustable phone cradle. https://www.brodit.co.uk/brodit/holders/Apple/iPhone+11/511667.htm Chris
  22. Hi Nic, As per our message exchange on Instagram (chrisl3ete) here's what I've been working on - but appreciate it's not designed for aero screen fitment, but I think it'd be pretty simply to apply the same principle as mounting the hinge to the A-Pillar or Roll Cage would have the same effect. Chris
  23. "Snap" I bought mine from "3D Print Shack" on eBay. Dave was very helpful and did this "custom" version. Chris
  24. Hi Ricardo, By "Repeater" are you referring to a flasher relay, like this one? Chris

Found time this weekend to fit the camping mat to the arches - thought it was going to be more hard work than it turned out to be. Next step is to drill holes for the lights - for which I'll be sure to apply the "measure twice, drill once" approach.
