  1. Hi guys, In order to clarify things. Getting the glass out is easy, I really meant the rubber that is attached in the surround and keeps the glass steady. I would like to powdercoat the aluminium, but if the rubber stays in, it will probably melt. JJF
  2. Hi, Before fitting glass in my windscreen surround, I would like to get everything apart to have it refurbished / powder coated. Has anyone already removed the rubber and more important, how do you get it back in the surround? Thanks JJF
  3. Hi all, For a friend I am looking for a set (ideally 5) of Ital fitment 6x13 KN Minators for a 1994 LA 1.4 K Series. Alternatively other makes, but I think the KN Minators will be the cheapest option. JJF
  4. Hi Charles, Glad to buy it from you. I' ll send you a message. Cheers and thx
  5. Never throw away stuff, you don' t know what it will be worth in the future ...
  6. Hi Charles, I am always looking for badges. Since I also have a 2004 car, it would be perfect if you have the original badge(s) of your car. JJF
  7. Hi Ian, Thanks for the warning, I know the risk. Elie is doing the work on my car, not enough time. It is even worse, since there is a protection around and under the fuel tank, he has to loosen up the tank to get the bolts and wiring into place. Good idea about the clear lenses, but I am very old fashioned. I like the clear rear lights on the white R500, but it is not going to work on my car. Cheers JJF
  8. Hi again, Concerning the brackets to mount the lights below, they are also available at CC. They were only used from 1996 until perhaps 1998. The red Superlight demonstrator had them at the end of 1996 / beginning 1997. Caterham started to mount 2 fog lights and the Wipac reverse lights on the wings from 1980 - 1981. In 1996 they changed to 1 fog light and 1 reverse light. Later these were mounted on the rubber wedges for SVA / IVA purposes. Cheers JJF
  9. Hi Paul, hi everyone, Thanks for the measurements and the picture. Your VX HPC had a spare wheel carrier, I have the impression that cars built without that, have the fog lights a little bit closer. We' ll start with 27" and see how it looks. Cheers JJF
  10. Hi, On my former Twin Cam, I used a small oil catch tank that was mounted to the vertical plate of the scuttle. This one was connected to the dry sump tank that mounted below it at the passenger side footwell. It was a closed oil catch tank with an overpressure cap and a screw at the bottom to let the oil drain out. Never had problems with oil fumes. When you are interested, I can look for the pictures is my archive and publish them. Cheers JJF
  11. Hi DJ, I have been thinking about putting them there, CC did it only for 2 years approximately. But I hate an asymmetrical view, so I am going for the look of the 1992 JPE. Meaning 2 fog lights and no reverse. I also think that mounting them low increases the changes of damage. Cheers JJF
  12. Hi, Indeed Superlite is the correct spelling. Love the looks of those alloys and remember the VX racers on them. I must have a brochure from those days with all the sizes. I shall look for it, just organizing my spare parts and documentation. They were certainly available in 7x13 but always look at the ET value since they were also used on other cars, f.i. Escort Mk2. So not every Superlite with Ford fitment will fit a Seven. Cheers JJF
  13. Hi everyone, After a lot of thought, I decided to put 2 fog lights on the back panel of my 2004 K Series. BTW, I like the eighties - early nineties style with 2 fog lights and like that, the rear end will be symmetrical. Since there are no holes in the rear panel, I need to know the exact position used on factory build cars. Would someone be so kind to measure the distance between the fog and reverse light and the distance between the lower tube and the underside of the fog and reverse light. Measurements please on a car without spare wheel. Thx JJF
  14. Hi, YHM concerning the rear lights. Sorry for the late answer. Cheers
  15. Hi, During the recommissioning om my Seven I ended up with a double set of rear lights. You can have a set for £25, but to get them perfect, you have to solder the wires again. I also have 1 Luke / Caterham race harness seatbelt, in very good and clean condition, too much. Expiry date 2008. If you are interested, I can give you the seatbelt and the rear lights for £50 + postage costs. JJF
  16. Hi, Thanks to everyone who has helped me so far. List updated, still looking for the last parts. Peope who have a clearout of parts dating back from 1991 - 2005 (K Series imperial chassis) or from Academy and Roadsport-B racecars, may always contact me. Cheers
  17. Hi, Yesterday evening, I was too slow in raising my bid; So some-one grabbed the Tillett for £67. Still looking Cheers
  18. In the mean time I have found a set of new, blank plastic centre caps for KN Minator wheels. I' ll use them with my own classic Super 7 stickers (copy of the eighties - early nineties badges). But if some-one has a set of the correct small green - yellow badges (used between early nineties and approx. 2005), give a shout. There is still space in my warehouse.
  19. Hi, I forgot to mention SELOC, a great site to buy and sell parts. And you can also enter an automatic search on eBay (Elise, used parts, auction), so you will get a mail every other day with the new parts listed. Sometimes you are lucky and buy parts for a couple of £. I went through my stock yesterday and there are some things I will not be needing anymore. 1. A set of original lightweight riser blocks for the 111S wing in primer, they were used on the 160 Sport. 2. A set of original Lotus 3M stickers (transparant vinyl) to protect the bodywork when mounting these riser blocks. 3. The set of Raceline rear alloys, for sale on BlatChat. The Elise will not be used on track anymore, or at moderate speed on street tyres. I' ll let you know when I find more parts. Oh yes, you are right about the S1 and the Exige V6. I also love the Exige, but also the 211. Cheers
  20. Hi, The recommissioning is going well, but I take the time to get everything sorted and find the correct parts from that period. Both seats are the same, but normally there is no sliding frame on the passenger side. I have seen the eBay ad and I am looking and waiting. Cheers
  21. Hi, I have the same cage, but I am intrested in the side impact bar. If you sell the rollcage separately, I shall take the side impact bar. It should fit on the same mounting points as the older type, but I' ll check to be sure. Cheers
