  1. Hi all, Wondering about my new LHD 7" headlight lenses. According to the Caterham site, the headlights had a plastic reflector and a glass lense, up to 2003. Afterwards they changed to plastic reflector and polycarbonate lense. The original Lucas lights had a metal reflector and a glass lense. These were in use up to the mid 80' s. After reading some articles / discussions, I am wondering about advantages / disadvantages of polycarbonate lenses and plastic reflectors. It seems strange that the polycarbonate lenses cost more than the glass lenses. Has somebody got a complete overview of all the types of 7" headlights used between 1974 and 2005. As far as I know the smaller headlights came in use with the metric chassis. Ideas and comments are welcome. Cheers
  2. Hi, Will these fit on the KN Minator alloys?
  3. Hi, Great to see some-one with the same combination of cars, a Elise 111S S1 and a Caterham Seven. I have parts in stock but keep these as spare. A tip, go to the Lotus Festival on 02.09. There are a lot of owners and traders selling new and secondhand parts. Also have a look at Maidstone Sports Cars and ES Motorsport. Cheers
  4. As the title says: - a green - yellow "Caterham 7 16 Valve" nose badge SORTED thx to Charles - a "Caterham 7" rear badge SORTED thx to Elie. - 4 plastic centre caps for KN Minator wheels with badges SORTED thx to Paul
  5. As the title says, a passenger side Caterham Tillett GRP seat with headrest, the type used in 2004. Alternatively a low back Tillett type W1 GRP.
  6. Johnny, Good luck, to my opinion the original Superlight 1997 was one of the best Sevens ever built. I still remember the test drive I did with the demonstrator in Caterham. I appreciate it that you are looking for an original car. In the long run, it will give you the most pleasure and profit, if you ever want to sell it. There is one even more exotic version of the Superlight, that is the 1998 Club Sport. Keep your eyes also open for that one! Cheers
  7. Perhaps only 1997 cars were supplied with the fog and reverse light below the bottom rail. I have seen a couple of cars and demonstrators in 1997 and 1998 with this fitment.
  8. Thx guys. If the fog lights come on the back, it will be without the rubber wedges. Or they come below on brackets, just as Caterham did in 1997 - 1998.
  9. Thanks, The explanation is logical, but as said it doesn' t look as pretty as in the past. I have to mount fog lights on my late 2004 ex-Roadsport B car. Based on the pictures I can find, the rubber wedges were not in use back then. Or am I wrong? Cheers
  10. Hi, Another academic question. When did Caterhsm start with the use of these black rubber wedges? https://caterhamparts.co.uk/rear-lights/4347-rubber-wedge-fog-rev-light-csr-only.html On the site, they state "CSR only". Does this mean that these wedges have never been used on S3 cars?
  11. As the title says ... Expiry date 2008, but good, undamaged and clean condition. Pictures on request. I ended up with 3 harness seatbelts, so this one isn' t necessary. I prefer a swap for 2 standard Luke - Caterham 4-point seatbelts with E marking. I can not find these on the Caterham site, but I am sure I have seen them in cars. Cheers
  12. Hi Roger, You are right about the carpet, but it is the only way to keep the aluminium better protected. I am looking for a way to put carpet in the boot and rear bulkhead that can be removed, so certainly no glue. Thanks for looking for the rear badge. Cheers
  13. Hi Alex, Thanks, I have seen your car and surprise, surprise, since yesterday I know that my car was delivered on KN Minator alloys. So not on the 8 spoke alloys. In fact my car was ordered as an Academy 2004, but with some changes for the Roadsport B championship. Finding 6x13 KN Minator alloys is a lot easier, and they are also cheaper. :-) I am still intrested in your mirror. Cheers
  14. Hi everyone, In the wanted section, I posted following ad. https://www.lotus7.club/forum/wanted/original-2004-model-year-parts All help is welcome to identify the original part numbers for a late 2004 "model year" Academy K Series. Also wondering about the 7" headlights mounted by Caterham in that year. Based on the online shop, these were Wipac (plastic) headlights. Personally I prefer real glass headlights ... I can get Cibië and Lucas glass headlights from the late nineties. I am sure that Caterham used both makes during 70' s, 80' s and 90' s. Is there some-one with a late 2004 car to check the make and type of the original headlights? Thx!
  15. Hi, If you have the new side impact bar, I would be interested. I ended up with 3 sets of 4 point black Luke / Caterham harnesses. So perhaps a swap, 1 harness for your side impact bar? Cheers
