common issue, I attacked mine with a grinder, took about 2 to 3mm off the rear of the ears, wheels fitted perfectly after that.

also something to bear in mind, with a bell housing tank, your feet and legs can get hot due to the heat transfer, I say can get hot because my current one doesn't give me this issue where as my previous one did, but I have a c20xe engine in mine.

Hi Odd message I know, but I'm going to be in the hunt for something that is in need, hopefully pre 1990 and something that probably hasn't been on the road for an age. An impossibility? There are a few age related marks and the nose cone has some crazing evident, see photos. An honest car and ideal entry to Caterham ownership £9,950.

the revolution 4 spokes, what front brakes do you have? Std caterham cars or any uprated 4 pots? If the latter you'll need the revolution competition rim as the inside shoulder of the std wheel fouls the calliper. What car are these going on?

I'd get it booked into a specialist who can have a look to see whats going on and maybe making any adjustments on a rolling road, years back mine did the same turned out to be an air leak and a slightly off map.

you'll probably find that the RB's will be a big contributing factor to your noise issue as well

it may just need a top up of oil so do that first. I ignored it with mine (type 9) ended up needing a gearbox overhaul to replace the damaged parts!

neither did mine Taz, mine had a Simpson system fitted, loud admittaley but the gearbox drowned that out!
