Thanks for your thoughts everyone. I spoke to the garage I purchased the car from this morning and they are arranging for the gearbox to be removed and refurbished at a Caterham specialist near to me. So hopefully any issues will be fully resolved.

Third gear is fine, just an issue with 2nd. Thanks for your comments.

Purchased a 2010 Roadsport SV with Sigma engine and 5 speed box at the weekend. On the 140 mile journey home it became apparent there is a slight issue with the gearbox. It changes from 1st to 2nd with no problem at all, but changing down to 2nd from any gear is very problematic, especially at higher revs. Is this a common problem, has anyone experienced it before?
