  1. how many are you selling, I can see something like 15+ posts now advertising the reg?
  2. depends on where you are as well, but I'd 2nd Simpsons Exhausts, had one on mine a few years back but a colleague had one by Mike Edwards, excellent service and quality
  3. Who was after a set of jupiter alloys that were non ford PCD? I know a set that is probably for sale so if you are in need or would like info drop me a pm. Thanks
  4. thanks Roger, oddly enough I was reading another post where you mention the same so I'll pull the jets and see whats in at present. Yes, these 45's are from 1992 so 3 prog holes I think, but I wouldn't want to drill a 4th (or 5th) as per the newer DCOE's, So its possibly a toss up between a new set and set up or going to TB's and set up. If so then this may have to wait a while I think as funds will have to be deviated to elsewhere.
  5. lol, yes I love the sound but it can be a pain to make smooth progress in traffic, I think I'll pull the idle jet and see what is fitted.
  6. I have a HPC c20xe on 45's, been set up nice but there's an issue. Light throttle in any gear results in spitting back through the carb, a bit more throttle its fine, on track its fine, full throttle its fine. Carbs have been rejetted, chokes replaced, rolling road dynoed and set up but low revs on the road in traffic can be a pain. New misabs and the things are not tight the manifold. I don't know what I'm looking at, and although I have a set of TB's to go on I'd like to retain the carbs if I can. Thoughts?
  7. if one is supplied, can we get some 3D printed?
  8. and in addition to the above, we need pictures of this HPC....
  9. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Caterham-Super-7-Seven-16v-valve-nosecone-bonnet-badge/303749038866?hash=item46b8da8312:g:ddsAAOSwSqJfnwQF 2 days to go.
  10. redline is the best place to grab a pair of chrome types.
  11. In fact if you'd like to drop me a PM I think we can help with a genuine manifold.
  12. The 7 degree manifold is used when the engine is canted over (so not upright) and this allows the carbs to be level (I suppose!) I can ask on a facebook page I run for these cars to see if there's a caterham manifold lying about for you if you're not a FB user? Someone will have one I'm sure. Failing that there is this one > https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Xe-Vauxhall-Inlet-Manifold-Weber-Kitcar/184473509843?hash=item2af37a5fd3:g:BsQAAOSwgKNfb5bG
  13. odd question, do you know exactly what SBD inlet manifold you have fitted? They do a 7 degree manifold for engines fitted at an angle so if this is one of those and the engine is sat level then you'd have the issue you seem to be experiencing?. https://www.sbdmotorsport.co.uk/index.php/products/index/2324
  14. I had a ramair filter on my crossflow and I'm pretty sure the bonnet opening is the same on the c20xe cars (happy to be corrected though) but the fit was tight but OK.
  15. Hi, yes mine is on standard CC mounts and it does have a nose down type of install, the timing cover just about clears the upper line of the nose cone. Filters are more of less inline with the chassis tube and the filters are std KN items as fitted when new. Hard to see but hopefully this shows their relationship, the rear filter is slightly higher than the front
  16. I'll get whatever photos you need. Twin this and that, were they building it for an extreme endurance race of sorts?
  17. hard to show with mine, light was rubbish but you can see the carbs are level, std Caterham manifold.
  18. Paul, you would have thought so. Mine is a VX race car that wasn't used in anger but was a Palmer motorsports car, and it has the caterham dry sump (bell housing tank), it did have 48's at one point in its life but they were changed for 45's and in my ownership we've changed those chokes to improve its road manners. When I'm next with my car I'll grab a photo of mine to see what differences there are. I'm thinking of going heritage bodies or direct to head TB's so the carbs etc will be redundant which is a shame.
  19. Hi, where did you find an ex race 16v VX? Great to see one coming back together. I was told they did re-engineer the manifold to improve flow for the 48's but I'm also told that the 45 and 48 share the same inlet manifold. Can I ask, are you sure you have the right engine mounts or that the inlet side is correctly fitted?
  20. They include plastic centre caps and key etc. Currently painted a gunmetal grey, all in reasonable condition but tyres are old so should be replaced. Collection from Cambs if anyone is interested. Photo's to be added later today £260 for the 5.
  21. Out of curiosity, what will you be running the 45's on? Has the 8v had headwork/cam/exhaust etc?
  22. no he's after this type (I think) and I think I've found it!
  23. I think the badge we're referring to is the old Caterham 7 script, very hard to find today
  24. well, I do have the HPC front badge as issued to those that have completed the course! But its in very poor condition and damaged, potentially repairable just don't know who can do it.
