Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted April 12, 2022 Area Representative Share Posted April 12, 2022 Make sure you know that nothing like wiring or brake lines are behind the panel.

Alan Reeves
self tappers for me, insed the footwell walls
Wrightpayne
I used self tappers on the two I fitted in the footwells. They are on the outer side - there is a hidden chassis diagonal to miss! Also put one on the rear bulkhead between the seats and above the tunnel. For this I used rivnuts into the ally panel to avoid spiky self tappers in the boot!Shop around for nets - I think you'd get elsewhere for 1/3 of the price. Also try marine/chandlery suppliers.Ian
BrettJ
Thanks you for all your input, I think I'm going to use rivnuts on the outer carbon panels of the footwells.
Temple Cloud
Personally I think the self adhesive velcro is the best route and have done that with mine too. Not cheating at all cos if you or a new owner decide to change you don't have any residual holes to deal with. Much more sensible
BrettJ
To Paul N & Temple Cloud, was the frame on your nets completely flat on the back? Mine aren't as the net is wrapped around the frame so I'm not sure if self adhesive velcro will work.

ian.pursglove
I went with self fastening Velcro (well a 3M version). Works well and it can be removed if I want to.
