  1. I suspect a life vest is more appropriate for todays cycling - I got caught out by a rising ford 30 miles out and 5 from home - added another 15 miles to ride which is normally not a bad thing but today.... 😩🚴‍♂️
  2. Not sure if relevant but for my SV they supplied two adapters to fit the standard radiator into the wider SV chassis. The build instructions were not great and I remember struggling for ages until I found what the bits supplied were for... (obviously I am a mechanical idiot 😔)
  3. These are a great improvement on what I had previously - as others have said they are rock solid and actually make mirrors usable and much less a useless add-on to the car.
  4. Get the claim in as quick as possible - apart from anything else any delay gives them the chance to invent a story (not that anybody would ever do that in an insurance case ). They hit you in the back so should be easily resolved quickly and at least this is a time of year in which it is ok for a car to be in the garage.
  5. Must confess that I am happy reversing anywhere EXCEPT into my garage, there I tend to reverse up the drive off the road and stop close to the door, then get out and push in. Also reduces the risk of running over the elderly, stupid, chocolate Labrador who is always keen to seen what is going on.
  6. I went with self fastening Velcro (well a 3M version). Works well and it can be removed if I want to.
  7. Provisionally sold now, thanks for the interest.
  8. Half hood for an SV, good condition and bought off here last year. Used once and selling for what I bought it for. PM if interested.
  9. I had the same question on the white plug when I was building mine; worked out it is suitable for an accessory power outlet, and then had it confirmed by CC (eventually).
  10. Drop me your address by PM and I will drop one in the post for you.
  11. James, If it does not work out with Nick then please let me know, I may be interested.
  12. looks good, it they do move to production I could be tempted....
  13. I replaced mine after a minor amount of excess suspension travel [ahem]; sensor through the top hat was not a problem, but the screw on the other side as well was designed for someone with much smaller fingers than me.
  14. I use the small round sticker approach myself, although it is still quite bright.
  15. Barry, sorry to hear that but glad to see you are still able to post - a good sign. Take care and do shout if you need any help, I am sure that I and others on the board will help if we can.
  16. I have one and struggled for ages during the build to figure out why it was there - after all why would you leave a spare part of the loom? mutter, mutter, sodding caterham being difficult, mutter mutter
  17. I am looking for a quick release so comments welcome....
  18. For my test I had no mats or (definitely not) doors. If you have the doors on they have to withstand a side impact so don't have them on, mats cannot move and have to be fixed in place or absent. As for the hood, I was tempted to put it on just to see the tester struggle to get in but thought better of it...
  19. I just fitted the strap under an additional washer
  20. I personally have side stripes on my SV, also a centre stripe and like the look of them. Do they add anything, no, but they help make the car mine. Completely agree with #27, all the same but all different.
  21. No, I have a middle name so it is PR17 CAT - the problem with my workplace is that the white hatted mob just like to demonstrate they know the rules at times - you should see them in the HGV cab - so pious it is frightening!
  22. Mine has just got through IVA, paperwork is with DVLA and my wife bought me a plate for it - it ends my initials reversed and ending 7 CAT, but I know the traffic guys at my station will HORT me if I play with the spacings. As such I will run it looking older then it is but it still works for me.
