Paul Philpot
In an attempt to reduce the risk of me driving with my indicators on. Is there an audible relay unit available to simply replace the existing relay?1994 Caterham 7 K series. Thanks
Wrightpayne
If you search the archives (via google best) people have fitted piezo buzzers into the circuit.I'm just fitting side indicators into the headlights so they are in my field of vision. I never fitted the side repeaters into the wings so the spare connection is in the wiring block.

Member Jonathan Kay Posted February 18, 2021 Member Share Posted February 18, 2021 1 If you have a Seven with a single indicator warning light you may need to make some simple modifications with a couple of diodes in order for it all to work. 2 You can also get units that include self-cancelling with an adjustable delay.3 I have a large collection of wiring diagrams to help with this. Available to all Members. Please send me a Private Message if you'd like the right one for your Seven.JonathanPS: The search method that Ian mentioned is linked in my Signature below. K7 VCT
This isn't a problem on my 2014 car as there is a electronic buzzer built in by caterham, but it's not very loud . I have micro repeaters in my headlight bowls, so I can see the indicators are on easily, sevens and classics sell and or fit them. Best of luck Julian
Area Representative gileshudson Posted February 19, 2021 Area Representative Share Posted February 19, 2021 What about £2.50-ish on a motorcycle-type buzzer you can crimp onto your indicator wiring, eg www.ebay.co.uk/itm/123745823706 You can then regulate the noise to your preferred level using insulting tape to cover some of the speaker holes
Leadership Team Toughie Posted February 19, 2021 Leadership Team Share Posted February 19, 2021 "You can then regulate the noise to your preferred level using insulting tape to cover some of the speaker holes"That didn't work well on my wife. john g
So, Giles, the red and black wires on your eBay buzzer link you would just connect to your indicator warning light positive & negative feeds?
Wrightpayne
Depending on how the indicators are wired may need two buzzers. As there are often diodes in the circuit.
David Belding
I fitted an Audicator 3 years ago and find it excellent. It ramps up the volume so you hear it even when the car is very noisy. You can set the time it starts bleeping and it is silenced if you touch the brakes.
