  1. I used these parts from Merlin on my S3 K Supersport 1. Goodridge steel adapter 1/8"BSP X M10X1 2. Black nylon oil pressure pipe 3m. Red washer 3. RACETECH 100 PSI OIL PRESSURE GAUGE WITH LIGHT Works really well. Easy to fit. Parts as recommended by Merlin.
  2. Man and woman approach door together. Man nips ahead and holds door open for woman. Woman: "Are you holding the door open because I'm a lady?" Man: " No madam. You remind me of my mother and she always insisted!"
  3. I fitted an Audicator 3 years ago and find it excellent. It ramps up the volume so you hear it even when the car is very noisy. You can set the time it starts bleeping and it is silenced if you touch the brakes.
  4. I find these mirrors from Car Builder very good. One original hole with a longer screw and one tapped m6. Careful to use the right screw length, don't hit the glass.
  5. From ‘Nitron Racing Systems” https://www.nitron.co.uk/buy-online/automotive/caterham/wide-track-de-dion/wide-track-de-dion-post-1996--96--/caterham-wide-track-de-dion--post-96--nitron-street-series-suspension-kit £853.80. They were very nearly perfectly set out of the box. I did ‘corner weight’ the car & checked the rake but the adjustments were very small.
  6. I have a very similar car and fitted a set of adjustable Nitrons last year Best thing I ever did. Transformed the handling and ride. Definitely worth the money and very easy to fit.
  7. I did mine for the first time last year. I used a large screwdriver through the hole on the right side of the housing. I was working alone so held the screwdriver in place with a Mole grip and put the car in gear and jammed the brake pedal down with a piece of wood, just in case. Needed a piece of tube to extend the wrench handle. No drama and not as difficult as it sounds.
  8. I was out today in Scotland and my 1.6 Supersport wouldn't go above ~70 degrees however hard I drove. A bit of very slow driving or idling and it eventually rose to 80 degrees and then was quite steady there. I often find this up here in the frozen north....
  9. Slightly seized caliper? One dragging pad won't be felt with the wheels on the ground but will make one disc very hot at speed. Happened on my Volvo last week, offed the disc etc.
  10. This company will fix your speedometer. http://www.jdo1.com/speedos.html
  11. Merlin Motorsport have them. Search for “jump plugs”.
  12. Ian, The throttle pedal has very little play and shows not tendency to slip off the bolt head stop. It feels very positive when you stomp the pedal. I read the sage words on the clutch pre load and if you look closely I now have two springs. I borrowed the load calculations for the required force and used a digital luggage scale to measure the pull. I added the extra spring and now there is about the right preload. Here are a couple of pictures.
