  1. Many thanks, I thought it was something like that but wanted to be sure
  2. I think there's an adjustment that you can make to lower the Tilletts a bit further. I've already got lowered floors but would like to get seated a bit lower if possible. Does anyone know?
  3. Unless a massive coincidence that would have been me as I was out that morning for a few hours. Would be good to know if there are some local 7's in the area
  4. Interesting, I thought the Academy cars had a lower rev limit in first and second seasons before going to the 270 spec. Mine is an ex-Academy with the Ti-VCT but I never drove it before the 135 ECU flash was done.
  5. The CC ECU flash to 135bhp gives another 500 rpm (I understand) and is a cheap and simple upgrade
  6. Interested in the shower cap, PM sent
  7. Hi, can people more knowledgeable than me tell me about the differences between the normal 6 point Caterham harness and the Schroth one that the Academy cars have fitted. Why are they switched and does it make any difference when back on the road. Are they switched out again just to have matching Caterham harnesses on ex-Academy cars?
  8. Isn't rapid clicking the starter motor sticking?
  9. Sorry to hijack your question, I'm also interested in Specialists in the south west for getting Caterham mechanical work done, incl. geometry
  10. Agree #12, auctions are funny places, I'd have put my money on a car with a dealer as well
  11. I think I've seen that in PH classifieds previously, I thought it was a kit build
  12. Sorry thread drift, what's the approx cost of a Tracsport vs a Titan unit?
  13. Is this a good time for me to say I'm looking for a Titan LSD? seriously..
  14. I'm 6'0 and do need to get some new goggles as I have an Aeroscreen ready to go on as well. Will search the archives on goggles. I've also got a 6 point harness and will need to have a good look at clearance once I've got the car
  15. I've read a lot of the old posts discussing the subject of these in road use cars from the safety perspective and potential for head impact with the cage if you had a accident. I don't want to restart that discussion again but am interested just to know what people who have or had full cages actually chose to do, e.g. remove them, wear a helmet of some sort, change the FIA padding, lower the seat further etc etc. The car I'm buying has one and I'm not rushing into a decisions on what to do just yet and thought I'd ask what others have done in the same situation.
  16. Hi Kris, nice looking car, I saw it there just after they'd sold it to you I think. Needs a couple of nice black stripes on the bonnet
  17. Hi, can I have first dibs on the Aeroscreen please, will PM you as well, thanks

    310R vs 420R

The 420R is certainly on my test drive list

    310R vs 420R

Good question, certainly not trying to get 420 power. I was thinking more of the driving involvement through great throttle response and the sound those things make. Have fun getting to speed on the road rather than be teleported there if that makes sense

    310R vs 420R

Hi all i was trawling the archives actually looking for LSD comments when I found this interesting thread from a couple of years ago. I'm looking to come back to the fold and see loads of 420R's on the market but am thinking it's a bit too fast for road use for me and I'm looking for something that will be fun like my old K series VVC was. It's now got me thinking about the Sigma 310R again and going for one of PP packs, I think I could end up spending 420 money but would have a really individual and special car. The comments earlier about the Sigma engine characteristics really appeal. Anyway once I can drive a few cars I think I'll get it clearer in my mind what would suit me best. I'm sure it will all fall in place eventually.. I may need to have a word with PP to understand what I'd be committing to first
  21. Great looking car, some of the photos by GFW?
  22. I'm also looking at coming back into a Caterham and would vote for going to one of the well known Specialists, I personally get wary of anything appearing elsewhere with random dealers. Someone who knows the cars will give you proper after sales help and probably buy it back off you when you come to move on eventually
