  1. A friend of mine has a yellow one, he lives close to Sevenoaks so could have been him (if it was yellow)
  2. With flying colours 😬
  3. Hi Oldbuffer I was just on my way to Kemsing to get an MOT 😬
  4. What a bargain I've seen this garage and would love it if I had the space
  5. Hi I had the same problem last year, they claimed never to have heared of this before , I spoke to several people but gave up in the end and just cut the longer replacement ones down (easy if you have a vice and a new hacksaw blade) Tony
  6. As Richard says try the mintax pads first, make sure you dont have a sticky piston on one of your calipers as this will make them feel underpowered. I eventually went for some Alcon's from James Whiting for mine, totally transformed the braking on mine from ok, to loads of feel and modulation. Hope that helps Tony
  7. glad you had a good time on Mull, we were wild camping around Croig for a few days and could hear you having fun on the twisty bits 😬
  8. Spotted at Tobermory today and down the coast from Dervaig towards Calgary. Hope your having a good holiday (I guess thats what your doing as the locals(my sister) havn't seen your car before)
  9. Also check your A-frame some cars of this year (like mine) didnt have the bar across making the A instead it was like an upside down V if you see what i mean. I had James Whiting weld a cross bar on and the difference was amazing

    816 FPX

I bought my bits second hand but I think Trigger wheels do a xflow kit on their website, they rated my engine at 155 bhp (which is as it should be). The power comes in much earlier in the rev range now and feels like there is much more torque lower down. Well worth doing Not too difficult to fit once you have the wiring worked out, if you decide to go for it and need any help give me a shout I've been spotted twice (that I've seen) on here and both times its been raining, I must get out in the sun more Tony

😬 was soaked by the time I got home 😬 Had just had the car on the rollers at sanspeed Bexleyheath after fitting a megajolt ECU Tony
  12. what map are you using Griff? I've just fited a megajolt and mine seems to run about the same temperature (Roger King 155 engine)
  13. went for my first (short) blat last night and the cars running like a dream 😬 managed to get a new molex plug and wire everything back in the right order 😬 thanks for the advice and well wishes Tony
  14. Thanks Griff the wiring diagram I am using is this one which is similar to the 14 pin one in your link. The one that came with the unit (which does not work) is nothing like it. Good luck with yours And thanks Bob, hopefully can get it sorted but its good to know there is someone to take it to if all else fails. So far I have fitted new geargox (BGH long first) painted chassis etc, fitted new bushes to front suspension, rear discs and countless other jobs while its been off the road and I dont want to be beaten when the end is in sight 😬
  15. Thanks for pointers, tried a strobe and there is no change to advance, pulled megajolt connector out and no change to running ☹️ delved deeper into the wiring that was supplied with the unit and nothing seems to match up with the diagrams on the autosportlab website so not sure that it could ever have worked the board is a V3 so I assume the wiring for the plug should match the V3 diagram Tony
  16. I got one from Powerspeed to replace my original worn out one. If you phone them they will advise what the best size would suit your engine think mine is 6 inch on a 1760 x-flow Tony
  17. thanks for the offer Liam, I've got one I can borrow next week as I only need it for this job. we are racing TCL at SJ if your free Monday evenings, its a great mod Tony
  18. think I will have to wait until I can plug it in (just a bit impatient) I will probably have to take it round to my friends house, do you think it is safe to drive it like this or can i do damage? Tony

    megajolt

This might be a stupid question I have just fitted a second hand megajolt system to my crossflow It started and ticks over smoothly but is running rich, and doesn't pick up as well as it used to the map installed is for a similar engine to mine but not the same and I know I've got to get it sorted properly but my question is I understand the EDIS will go into limp home mode if the megajolt isn't working,so is there a way of knowing things are actually working without plugging it into a laptop? (I haven't got a laptop so can't plug it in to anything until I can borrow one later next week) And who's the best person to take it to to get mapped? I'm in north Kent Tony
  20. just done mine, if its seen yhen take some time and get it as smooth as poss before putting on, 2 coats while still tacky then the top "paint finish" when por 15 is dry for unseen bits I just got the flacky stuff off and a rough sand down then 3 coats again, looks pretty good, dont get in on your hands as its bugger to get off Tony

    Upgrades

Hi Liam I'm just refreshing bits on mine at the moment BGH long first gear box (going in next week) new bushes all round I uprated my brakes to Alcon 4 pots which are fantastic megajolt are you doing any welsh blats this year? Tony
  22. Thanks Chris probably need to press something out then. All new bushes fitted to front suspension when these go back on, hopefully will feel a lot better when I I'm finished jobs to complete re-fit front suspension Fit new BGH gearbox to engine and pop back in See if megajolt gubbins works me blatting agin 😬 Tony
  23. Are the Top links for the half wishbone setup different to the non half wishbone set up? I might be going mad but I seem to remember them having an end with a small hole in opposit the larger hole that the half wishbone fits into (if that makes sense). The bolt goes through this small hole and into the half wishbone. I have just recieved some new ones with the same diameter hole at both ends? (I'm at work so can't check but I'm sure they are different) Tony
  24. Thanks chaps my car is a dedion car but with the setup you describe Crudders, I was just going to replace the top hat type but when I checked them the other type look completly knackered Tried to press them out in a vice with no luck so will find somewhere with a press Tony
